Now on to this month's theme: Green.
So show us your favorite shade of green or your St. Patrick's Day best!
I received this lovely Kiyonna wrap dress in my latest Gwynnie Bee package last week, so I knew I wanted to show it to all of you. The dress is a dark hunter green, although in some of my photos it looks like more of a blue green. Either way, it is a beautiful color on a comfortable dress.
The fabric is soft with a bit of stretch. It is well-made and not too heavy and warm. I love the ruching detail at the shoulders as well. It seemed to be a bit longer on me than it has been on other people. I'm a fan of the longer length though.
While I appreciate how the fabric fell over my hips and cascaded down, as with all wrap dresses I have tried on it was still a bit tight on my tummy. The fit of the shoulders, arms, and bust was fantastic! It was just closer against my tummy than I am comfortable with. I decided to wear the jacket to camouflage the tummy issue and felt like it did a great job of that. (And despite the tummy issue, I feel it is important to note that I still felt sexy in the dress.)

Very cute....and I like it just fine without the jacket, too. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the fit of the wrap dress on you!! I did not have the same great luck but doll your glowing! I love how you styled the dress with the jacket too.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I think this one fit better than other wrap dresses I have tried. I haven't had a whole lot of luck with wrap dresses. It was fun to pair it with the leopard jacket though!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It definitely fits better than the other one (which I need to post in another What I Didn't Wear). I just didn't want to wear shapewear, so my tummy poked out more than I like it to. lol I probably notice more than anyone else. I need to get over it. lol
ReplyDeleteYeah - I know the feeling, sister. But some outfits just seem like they need a little smoothing. That's why I love that Maggie Dress from Kiyonna so much -- the way the lining is, it covers EVERYTHING. It also doesn't wrinkle, even when it falls off the hanger and lands in the bottom of your closet for a week before you notice.
ReplyDeleteTrue. I need to bust out my Maggie again some time. I haven't worn it in a while. LOVE that dress!
ReplyDeleteI've wanted to try this dress for ages, someday maybe :)
ReplyDeleteI like the dress with and without the jacket, but I feel like it adds some cheekiness to the overall outfit because of the pattern. Very cute, and very you (I imagine you as quite cheeky ;) ).
