What I Wore: Autumn Shimmers

  Hailey is wearing the Kiyonna Metallic Mesh Top and Lane Bryant Genius Fit Skinny Jean. - #plussize #Kiyonna #KiyonnaStyle #KiyonnaPlusYou #Metallic #plussizefashion #LaneBryant #holidayfashion #psblogger #plussizeblogger #styleblogger

I am a proud lover of all things sparkly, glittery, metallic, sequined, or rhinestoned.  The shininess beckons me at all turns.  So you can imagine my squeals of delight when the holidays creep up and so many retailers put out shimmering clothing options.  Kiyonna is serving up some luxe and shine for their Holiday Collection with sequins, velvet, lace, and shimmer!  Not too long ago, they introduced this Limited Edition Metallic Mesh Top that called to me with its gold-flecked siren song.

Hosting Catherines Famous Fit In-Store Event

 Hosting Catherines Famous Fit In-Store Event - @CatherinesPlus #DenimDebut #Catherines #plussizeblogger #psblogger #plussizefashion #fallfashion #plussizedenim

Right before I left for vacation in mid-September, I had the honor of hosting an in-store event at one of my local Catherines stores.  The Famous Fit Event focused on all the great denim and jeans Catherines has to offer this season.  As it was my first hosting gig, I had no idea what to expect.  I was excited and totally nervous.  Gladly, I had an amazing time interacting with customers and working alongside some really great women at the NE Halsey store in Portland, Oregon.  Read on for an overview of the event and to check out some of the pieces we all tried on from the fall arrivals!

What I Wore: Positively Plus and Denim on Denim

Hailey is wearing the Plus Is Equal tee from Lane Bryant, Torrid Light Wash Denim Shirt, Avenue Virtual Stretch Legging Jean, and Sequin Converse! - #plussize #plussizefashion #plussizedenim #Avenue #LaneBryant #PlusIsEqual #Torrid #TorridInsider #styleblogger #plussizeblogger #psblogger #fallfashion #Converse

Before we get into today's outfit post, I just wanted to take a moment to say hello.  I feel like I need to make a little apology for not being as present on the blog lately.  I've just felt really unmotivated or, more accurately, unfocused.  Some of it is probably from playing the comparison game in my head, maybe it's the weather, or it could just be a feeling of insecurity or that I just have a billion things to do lately and I feel overwhelmed....I'm not sure the exact reason.  The lingerie post took me a total of twenty-five hours to complete, so it left me feeling a little burnt out.  Anyway, sorry for the lack of posts.  I have a ton to share with you if I can just get my s#!t together!

Today's outfit is some old and new together that I wore for running errands around town recently.  I felt laid back, comfortable, and cute, so let's get into it.

What I Wore: Kiyonna Gives - Look Good While Doing Good

Hailey is wearing the Kiyonna Bohemian Crochet Bellini in Blushing Pink. Through November 3rd, 2105, Kiyonna will donate 50% of retail sales of this item to Breast Cancer Angels. - #Kiyonna #Kiyonnagives #KiyonnaPlusYou #breastcancer #plussize #plussizefashion #psbloggers #plussizeblogger #styleblogger #pink

As you are probably aware, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  It is always important to encourage awareness of issues to look out for and to encourage women to take care of their bodies.  Do your regular breast exams and don't skip check-ups, as early detection is key.

Kiyonna is once again encouraging us to "Look good while doing good" by offering the Bohemian Crochet Bellini in a pretty pale pink. Through November 3, Kiyonna will donate 50% of retail sales of this pink bellini to Breast Cancer Angels.  This non-profit organization in California provides groceries, gas, day-to-day items, legal service, and more, to help patients who are undergoing cancer treatments, as well as their families.

Read on for my review and to see how I styled my bellini.  For more breast cancer facts, visit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Plus Size Lingerie: Where I Find It + Hips and Curves and Lane Bryant Review

Plus Size Lingerie: Where I Find It + Hips and Curves and Lane Bryant Review - #plussize #plussizelingerie #styleblogger #plussizeblogger #psblogger #hipsandcurves #lanebryant #torrid #curvygirllingerie

Let's talk about sexy stuff!
It's only in the last few years - as I have come to appreciate, respect, and love my body even more - that investing in cuter/sexier/better quality lingerie pieces has become a little obsession of mine.  The less hangups I have about my body, the more fun it is to dress up in lacy items that make me feel super sexy.  Even if you aren't totally at peace with your body, dressing it up in items that make you feel beautiful and sexy (as with every day clothing) can really feed your sense of confidence and help in changing your mindset from negative to positive!

When I started looking to buy items from companies like Hips and Curves, I did a lot of looking online to try to find a review of items from someone my size.  I wanted to know how things really fit on a similar body.  Finding that review was nearly impossible, which is why I decided to buy a pair of thigh highs and write my own review.  Read on for reviews of a bra and panties from Hips and Curves and a very sexy pair of panties from Lane Bryant.  I have also included my current favorite picks from four of my go-to lingerie retailers, along with info on sizing and fit and current sale promotions.

This post has been a BIG labor of love and has taken me many, many, many hours to complete.  I hope it provides you with helpful information.  If you have any questions at all, please leave a comment on the post or contact me via email. :-)
