What I Wore: Butterfly In The Sky

Hailey is wearing the Spruce and Sage Butterfly Cut Out Top via #GwynnieBee, Denim Flex Jeggings from #Maurices, and Chelsea Glitter Flats from Payless. - DivineMrsDiva.com

High five if you read the title of this post and started singing the Reading Rainbow theme song.  I need to work on my post titling skills, but I figure if it makes me smile then maybe it makes you smile too.  Today, I bring you a look at the Spruce and Sage Butterfly Cut Out Top.

In The Fitting Room: Catherines

I'm really excited about today's post!  I finally made it to Catherines to try on clothes and get reacquainted with the brand.  The last time I shopped in-store at Catherines was quite a few years ago.  In my mind, they have long been a brand that caters to a more conservative and mature woman than myself.  Liz of With Wonder and Whimsy has been a cheerleader for Catherines, finding super cute ensembles there over the past couple of years.  She's been encouraging me to go back and check them out after my hiatus.  I bought some fantastic wire-free bras online, and finally made it into the store a couple weekends ago.

What I Wore: Embroidered Kimono Dress

Hailey is wearing the Angie Kimono Dress from Johnny Was via Gwynnie Bee. - DivineMrsDiva.com

Sometimes clothes work and sometimes they don't.  Sometimes they fall into both categories, like this beautifully embroidered knit dress from Johnny Was.  Johnny Was is a new-to-me brand that I delved into through Gwynnie Bee.  I was excited to see the dress in person as the embroidered design really appeals to me.

Birchbox and Ipsy Review: February 2015

Both Birchbox and Ipsy are monthly subscription services.  For $10 a month, you get a box of four to five samples from skincare, makeup, fragrance, and/or haircare brands.  The boxes are catered to you, to the best of their ability, by a survey you take when you sign up that asks about your coloring and beauty concerns.

Birchbox features more high-end brands and includes some "lifestyle samples" like granola bars, specialty chocolate, tea, etc.  Ipsy has some mid-to-higher end items, but focuses a lot on less expensive and drugstore brand items.  There are pros and cons to each (and I love getting both!), but everyone has different preferences. I've been subscribed to Birchbox since early 2011 and Ipsy since December 2011!

What I Wore: Color Makes Me Happy

Hailey is wearing the Island Sea Fit and Flare Dress from Postcards/Gwynnie Bee. - DivineMrsDiva.com

Color makes me happy!  Colorful outfits make me dance around and sing like a Disney Princess.  If you've been reading the blog, you already know this.  Bright hued frocks delight me!  So it should come as no surprise to you when I say that this vibrant dress from Gwynnie Bee kept my winter blues at bay for quite some time.

In The Fitting Room: Target

A couple weekends ago, I made it to my local Target to try on some of the new Ava & Viv line.  There are a few pieces that I was really looking forward to trying on, but I also picked various items to test fit as well.  My local Target was lacking in jean styles and that great olive green jacket, but I pressed on and worked with what they had.  Read on for my reviews and photos...

This month's theme is: Rainbow.

Hailey is wearing the Paradise Peplum Top from City Chic. - DivineMrsDiva.com

I am a little fashionably late to this month's Sartorial Medley.  Allergies have kicked my butt this week!  I can't breathe through my nose, my face is all dry, I constantly have a headache from lack of oxygen, and am just plain old miserable.  That being said, I slept in today and am feeling a wee bit better.  In our tradition of choosing a March Sartorial Medley theme that relates to St. Patrick's Day, we chose rainbow. This seemed like a perfect time to pull out my new City Chic top and rainbow heart ring!

Hailey is wearing the Kiyonna Caycee Twist Top, Maurices Denim Flex Dark Wash Skinny Jeans, and Stretch Riding Boots from Avenue. - DivineMrsDiva.com

I hope you are all gearing up for a fantastic weekend!  I'm attending a friend's birthday party tonight and having a low-key weekend at home.  Hopefully, I'll be able to get some craft projects done as the rain is coming back for a bit.  Rain or shine, whether you are celebrating St. Patrick's Day or Pi Day,  I hope you have some fun this weekend!

What I Wore: Spring Stripes and Jewels + Rocksbox Review

Hailey is wearing a floral striped tee and Genius Fit capris by Lane Bryant, Adrina Flats by Crocs, and Perry Street jewelry from Rocksbox. - DivineMrsDiva.com

The weather was so amazing this weekend!  I know I keep mentioning the weather in my posts, but it is just crazy how much sun we have had this winter.  Usually it is raining from October to June.  Sean and I soaked up as much of it as we could this weekend by running errands, walking around downtown Portland, and spending some time at the zoo!

Our Saturday was full of fun.  I had my hair appointment before we ran around town.  Happily, I was able to stop in to Catherines and Target to try on clothes for future "dressing room" posts.  This post's outfit features some go-to warmer weather favorites of mine, as well as a few new items - a top from Lane Bryant and sparkly jewelry from Rocksbox! Read on for a review of these pieces and info on how to get a free month of Rocksbox for yourself!

What I Wore: Shiny Hearts

What I Wore: Shiny Hearts (Lane Bryant Foiled Heart Sweatshirt and skinny jeans, Reebok YourFlex Trainette 3.0) - DivineMrsDiva.com

While a lot of you have had crazy snow and ice, it has been unseasonably sunny and pleasant here in the Pacific Northwest.  I refuse to question this amazing sun and cool breezes, so I have tried to soak it up as much as possible!  We have been very busy so far this year, so nice weather makes running around town that much more fun!  For all this running around, I like to go the "cute but practical" route with jeans, a t-shirt and jacket or fun sweatshirt like this one, and my trusty pink Reeboks.

What I Wore: Spring Leopard

What I Wore: Spring Leopard (Evans via Gwynnie Bee Animal Foil Top, Lane Bryant Black Genius Fit Skinny Jeans, Charming Charlie Posy Bib Necklace, Torrid Pink Patent Wedges) - DivineMrsDiva.com

Another day, another fun Gwynnie Bee find!  I'm not very familiar with Evans, as I have never bought anything from their site yet (though there is always plenty I want!).  A previous GB try-on with Evans featured a top that didn't work too well for me.  I was so excited when I put this top on though, because it is such a gem!

What I Wore: Winter Hi-Lo

What I Wore: Winter Hi-Lo (TBags Los Angeles Printed Hi-Lo Tank Dress) - DivineMrsDiva.com

I love trying new clothing brands and sharing that knowledge with y'all.  Happily, my Gwynnie Bee subscription affords me the opportunity to try new-to-me brands and lots of styles and silhouettes I might not have the chance to try otherwise.  Of course, part of the fun is trying it on and sharing my experience with all of you.

What I Wore: My First Kimono!

What I Wore: New Look Inspire Rose Print Tassel Kimono from ASOS Curve, Maurices Denim Flex Dark Wash Jeggings, Charming Charlie long necklace, Payless Nude Patent Wedges, Lane Bryant Black Swing Cami - DivineMrsDiva.com

After searching and searching for the perfect kimono for me, I found one!  I've always been a fan of the kimono trend because I like the idea of this colorful layering piece.  I typically wear cardigans or shrugs over tank tops, so the kimono is a great alternative.  During an ASOS sale last month, I mulled over a few different patterns and color combinations for quite some time before making a choice.
