What I Wore: Hoppin' Down The Bunny Trail......Sunday

On Easter Sunday, I woke up bright and early so I could get the carrot cake iced and decorated.  It didn't take too long, but I wanted it to look good.  I used the Carrot Cake recipe from More From Magnolia by Allysa Torey.  It turned out really tasty and moist.  I definitely recommend this recipe and book as well.

I used Swedish Fish and orange jelly beans to decorate.

It is a two-layer cake with cream cheese icing.

The Inside!

For my outfit, I chose to keep it simple and comfortable with a little bit of sparkle.

Over at the In-Laws' house, we had a tasty brunch of oven-baked French toast, sausage and egg, and fruit.  It was so good!  Later on, my mother-in-law made lattes and we ate our cake.  Then we played the Star Trek Scene It DVD game.

I know very little about Star Trek, but I did get a few questions answered correctly.  We had a good time though and some great laughs about it.

After all that, Mr. Diva and I came home, put our pajamas on, and relaxed.  I decided there was no way I was going to get my Picaboo book done before the coupon expired Monday night; So we just hung out with the furkids.  I hope everyone had a splendid holiday weekend!

What I Wore: Hoppin' Down The Bunny Trail....Saturday

I hope everyone had a beautiful and fun Easter weekend!  We had a busy one planned, especially Saturday.  We've had such rainy, cold, and gloomy weather here in the PNW.  Imagine my happiness when the SUN actually decided to make a much needed entrance on Saturday!!  It was a terrifically gorgeous 70-ish degrees and perfect for our outside plans that day.

My oldest fuzzy sun, Rusty, enjoyed an early morning sunbath.
Then my pasty legs got to see the light of day! lol  I ended up putting this outfit together around the necklace.  I knew I wanted to wear the purple shirt since it was new and hadn't been worn yet.  I bought the colorful necklace at the same time and was able to pull the turquoise from it with my tank.  I love the colors together and it was very comfy and cool.

We headed out to see a few innings of my nephew's tee ball game.  He looked so cute in his uniform.  I can't wait to catch some more of his games.

After a fun afternoon with family where we ate some yummy food and visited for a bit (and played Bingo.  I won a prize!!  A Disney planter with a pansy in it), we headed to my brother and sister-in-law's house for dinner.  We brought over some plastic Easter eggs filled with candy to hide for the kids.
I think he was already working on some bubblegum.
She looked so cute in her lil dress.

The neighbor's dog helped her find an egg.

After dinner and playing some Wii, the kids passed out.  Mr. Diva and I still had to hit up the grocery store, go home and put groceries away, and make a carrot cake for Easter.  We finally got to bed about 3 AM.

It was a very fun day though!

Snuggle With Your Snoogle

I've had shoulder and neck issues for a while.  Even after purchasing a new mattress, they still didn't really go away.  One of my friends suggested I try the Snoogle pillow.  It is a "C" shaped pillow primarily for pregnant women to support the back and belly during pregnancy.  It can also be moved into six or eight different positions for various lounging.

Target has the Snoogle for $55, which is where I bought mine. It really has helped me!  I usually sleep with it as pictured above, but sometimes I sleep on my other side as well.  This pillow supports my neck well, goes between my knees to keep my spine aligned, and helps support my back.  I would definitely recommend it to anyone with neck and back issues.

My only complaint is that the cover that comes with the pillow is difficult to get on and off.  Seeing as how it is made mainly for pregnant women and new mommies who would need to wash this a lot, I don't understand why they made the cover so freaking annoying!  Amazon.com has a few different Snoogle covers with a zipper that would make it a LOT easier to launder when needed.  They cost around $30 though so I am thinking of making my own.

Do you have a Snoogle?  Has it helped your neck/shoulder/back issues?  I'd love to hear from you!

Six Things You Wish You'd Never Done

Back in September, I started an activity to get me writing a bit more.  I didn't keep up with it like I wanted to and became busy with things going on in my life.  I never finished it, so I am continuing this activity where I left off.

If you'd like to look back at the previous posts, here ya go:

What I Wore: Casual Birthday Attire!

Hello, all!  I am excited to post my first full-length outfit picture for this blog.  I went to a casual birthday party for some fabulous ladies.  I had a leopard-print cami I had yet to wear.  Everything was super comfy, easy to wear, and worked well together.  I think I need a bracelet though...
