Q & A Monday: Almost Spring

Hey, y'all!

It was a more laid back weekend for us.  We went to a last minute dinner party on Saturday night and had a great time!  It was very late when we went to bed, so we got a late start on Sunday .  I had a terrible headache, sent the husband out for a few groceries, and took it easy all day.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  Now on to this week's Friend Makin' Monday Q & A.

It is time again for Friend Makin' Monday.  If you have a blog, I would like to invite you to answer the questions as well.  Leave me a comment here, so I know you are playing.  Then you can also leave a comment over at All The Weigh, so other folks can check out your answers as well.  It is a fun way to connect to other bloggers.

Almost Spring

1. What do you love most about Spring?
I love all the colors and the slightly more frequent moments of sunshine. I love the crisp air, the flowers, and the renewed sense of happiness.

2. If you’re lucky enough to have a Spring Break, what will you do to enjoy it?
We don't have a Spring Break.  When do people actually take a spring break?  I don't know when that would be.  So I will be doing what I normally do - household chores, craft projects, and blogging.

3. What is your favorite flower?
I love peonies, tulips, Gerbera daisies, plumeria, dahlias.  Bright, cheery, fluffy, etc. :-)

4. Do you have a garden?  If so, what do you grow?

I don't have a garden.  I have no green thumb at all.  I tried to grow cilantro, parsley, and thyme and they all died a quick death.

5. Share one thing that you hope to accomplish during Spring.

I hope to finish a lot of craft projects, clean the house good, clean out my closet a bit, read more books, and write a lot more.

6. Do you do Spring cleaning?
I haven't the last few years.  I just play catch-up all year long.  This year, I think we are going to take a whole weekend to really clean things and move stuff around. It just needs to be done.

7. What is your weather *really* like right now? {Just b/c it’s almost Spring, doesn’t mean that it feels like it for some of you.}
Today was sunny and chilly.  Right now at 11PM, it is about 37 degrees.  Brrrr! But I love the crisp, fresh air.

8. Share one photo that you’ve taken during the month of March.
Here is a photo of my 16-year-old fur kid, Rusty, taking a nap.  His tongue always hangs out because he has no teeth, so when he sleeps on that side, his tongue gets smashed against his face. lol
Poor man!

9. What’s your favorite thing to do on a sunny afternoon?
I love sitting outside with a good book and a chihuahua curled up in my lap.  I also enjoy taking a drive with the husband and fur kids, heading to the beach, or just relaxing with all the windows open while enjoying a cool breeze.

10. If you could spend the day doing anything in your city, what would you do?
I would want to visit the Japanese Gardens and go to various eateries we have yet to try.  There's a lot in this area we haven't experienced.

Now it's your turn! Link up and share your answers with everyone.  Happy Monday!

  1. Isn't it funny that you can live in a place for a long time and still never see all the tourist-y places? I'm guilty of the same thing!

  3. Heh, I also have a brown thumb. My best friend, after trying to rescue about the third one I had driven to suicide, told me I'm only allowed to have plastic plants.

  4. Unrelated to FMM, every week I stop by your blog on Monday(ish) I think how pretty the blue lacy shirt is that you're wearing in your "Meet Hailey" photo. I keep thinking about it in the back of my head when I'm shopping, too. You make it look lovely! :) Hope you're having a good week.

I answered the FMM questions on my blog, too! (Actually on Monday, too. It just took me this long to get to everyone else's blogs, hah.) http://delightfullyshrinking.com/

  5. Definitely. I don't remember ever doing touristy things where I lived. We would just see stuff as we moved around. I'm going to make a list of all the touristy things we haven't done yet. :-)

  7. lol I love the greenery, but yeah, I am pretty much destined to always have plastic plants. My "Mother-In-Law's Tongue" fern thing is still alive after many years...probably 6 or 7 years. But those things are hard to kill. Half of it has died and I just cut those leaves out. It does look a bit sad though.

I look forward to reading your answers. It usually takes me all week to get to people's blogs. I haven't been very diligent lately.
