Tutorial: How To Fill In Your Eyebrows

I have been tweezing my brows since I was 13-years-old, often over-tweezing until they were way too thin.  After many years of educating myself on how to deal with them properly, a few years ago I finally figured out what works well for me.

People ask me quite a lot about how I maintain, groom, and fill in my eyebrows.  Hopefully, this video tutorial will help you out.  Please leave a comment with any additional questions you may have.

I also want to add that you can use a primer on your brows to help the powder adhere to your skin better.  Plus, you can mist a setting spray on your brows after you are done to help them stay longer.  I use MAC Fix+ as a setting spray for my whole face.

What I Used:
(1) Lash & Brow Groomer  (2) Cosmetic Groomer  (3) Tweezers(I use the Revlon angled tweezers)

The brow kit I used is still available on Amazon: Anastasia Highlighting Brow Kit

Again, please let me know if you have any questions.  I'd love to hear from you!

  1. I certainly need to start taking better care of my brows. Usually, I don't even bother filling them in (my last post I did, and I think it looks better when I do). Some day I might be lucky enough to have eyebrows as nice and cooperative as yours are, I can dream. In the meantime, I'll start using some of your tricks and see if I can't at least get them to a presentable state. Fingers crossed and thanks so much for the tutorial.

As to the brow gel costing a lot, how long does a container that size last? Are they scented?

  2. Aw, thank you! Sean and I filmed a "Dialect Experiment" video this weekend that I am really excited to post. It makes me laugh.
Thanks for the head's up on NYX. I will have to check out the NYX set. When I was looking on Ulta, I saw they had some brow powder. I ended up buying a new Anastasia powder and got a tinted brow gel for half price, so I am excited to try those. I have a bunch of stuff lined up I would like to do reviews on. I have to go to Ulta soon to get more hair color, so I will probably grab a NYX set to contrast and compare. :-)

  3. I totally noticed your brows in the last post! They looked darker, but I couldn't tell if it was just the lighting or what. :-) It has definitely taken a while for my brows to get to this point. Even at my wedding 5 years ago, they were too short and thin. It has taken a WHILE.

I am glad you enjoyed the video!

The brow gel isn't scented. The normal size is more mascara tube sized. Since you aren't using it on your eyes, it could last up to 6 months. I would probably get a new one then because they get gunked up with powder color. The price kind of evens out that way. The Ardell one is $4 and I usually toss it after 3 months. But I love the hold of the Anastasia. It just creates a better barrier over the powder. No smearing!
