Celebrating Seven Years of Marriage

Hello, everyone!  I hope y'all have had a fabulous week.  We have a busy weekend ahead filled with errands, a birthday party, dinner with the mom-in-law, and Bunco.  Sunday marks our seventh wedding anniversary!!  As per tradition, we are going back to Edgefield, where we were married, for a celebratory dinner.  I love that we can walk the grounds of the hotel/winery and reminisce on all the fun we had on our wedding day.  It is exciting to see how much the trees have grown and compare photos in places we stood back then to now.

I've talked a bit about the wedding before and shown you lots of pictures in posts past, so I wanted to compile a list of links for those of you who want to see more photos and details of our wedding day.  It was such a labor of love because I tried to personalize as many aspects of it as I could.  From making my own jewelry, menu cards, and programs to curating the songs played before, during, and after the ceremony to designing and creating most of the decor for both locations, writing our own vows, creating an aisle runner, designing and making all of our invitations and inserts, making our bouquets and boutonnieres, and helping the in-laws make our fused glass dessert plate wedding favors - I made sure our relationship and who we are was represented in every aspect.  This was before Pinterest, mind you.  lol  It was stressful at times, and I certainly had people helping me along the way, but I wouldn't change it.  Being that involved in the process was really special to me.

The sucky thing about weddings is that they are a long-awaited, much planned, and expensive party that is over in the blink of an eye.  But it's really just the beginning.  I've found what comes after in these years down the road to be much sweeter, more fun, and more rewarding than I could have ever imagined.  My husband is truly my best friend and makes me a better person each day.  Every adventure and every twist in the road has made us stronger and more in love.  I couldn't ask for someone more perfect for me.  For me, marriage has been every good thing that younger me never thought it could be.  I continue to be so proud of our relationship and cherish it deeply.

Cheers to many, many, many more years of happiness, love, and exciting adventures!!
