What I Wore: Coral Heat

Last year when Lane Bryant put out these super comfy knit skirts, I went the practical route and bought a black one.  When they went on clearance, I went ahead and snagged a pink one because it was a solid color and would go with various things.  At this point I need to take them in so they don't fall to the floor when I put them on, which bummed me out, because they are absolutely awesome for summer and when you want to wear something cute that feels like pajamas.

Before summer started, I ventured to my local Lane Bryant outlet store to look around.  They usually have the best deals on jeans with a bigger selection of styles.  I did find jeans but, while browsing the clearance racks, I found this colorful knit skirt in my size!  I was so happy!!   It was a steal of a deal and made me really excited to sport a more bold pattern.  In the fitting room, I tried it on with a navy blue top and it looked really cute; But I wanted to amp it up with more color!

Shopping my closet, I remembered I had this great beige tank with vibrant orange embroidery.  It has an elasticized bottom (which I usually despise), bought with the sole intention of wearing it with my cream and black maxi skirt.  While my Amber shrug is neither the right shade of pink or orange, it is this awesome inbetweenie coral-pink shade that works well to bring everything together.  I was really happy with the end result!

    1. Thank you! I do like it a bit lighter like this. It is a bit darker now because we added some dark pieces to fade my roots in.
