If you've never heard of Emme before, you should know she is a force of positivity! Not only is she a mother, but you can add television host, iconic plus size supermodel, book author, national lecturer, creative director, and women's advocate as a sample of her spectacular list of skills and achievements.
After being diagnosed with (and beating!) Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2007, Emme wanted to share what she has learned and continues to learn during her ongoing inner revolution with others. Emme Nation is a forum for women that seeks to nourish the mind, body, and soul to make you the best YOU that you can be.
This fall, Emme is teaming up with Macy's to highlight fall fashion trends from top designers. After the show, Emme will discuss her views on positive body image, as well as the fashion industry. Refreshments will be served and if you spend $75 or more on a Macy Woman purchase during the event, you will receive an exclusive travel cosmetics bag.
These events will take place in Portland, OR and Houston, TX. Reservations are necessary, as seating is limited!

As someone who has long admired Emme, I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to attend this event and delighted to hear her speak about topics she is passionate about. If you are in the Portland, Oregon area, come say hi to me! It's going to be a blast!

I have the same issue with shirts being snug around my hips. It's good to know for the future and the next time I shop with Mynt 1792. I'm always so concerned with things fitting my shoulders and arms that I forget I also need to be mindful of roominess through the hips.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great, relaxed summer look. I love all of the different shades of blue. The ombre variants in the top pull all of the shades together. I love the special little embellishment at the collar, too.
I'm still waiting for fall temperatures in Nashville. Things were so crisp and cool and lovely in Scotland. Then we come back to Tennessee and it's still in the 80's. I'm sure I looked hilarious at the airport in my longsleeved shirt, denim jacket, and wool scarf.

Gross to 80s temps! I think it is 61 here today, and raining, but I prefer this over it being way too hot. It stayed dry for the outdoor concert we went to on Friday, so I was happy about that.
ReplyDeleteI swear button downs just don't like me. I love the style and all the different ways you can wear them, but I have yet to find one that fits me well. That's probably a common problem for any pear shaped person, but I never see people talking about it. I really liked the look of this top, so I was bummed it didn't work out the way I would have liked.
