Q & A Monday: Finish The Sentence

Happy Monday!  Sometimes that seems like a total oxymoron.  My Monday is going to include cleaning bathrooms, doing laundry, and cleaning the kitchen.  Fun times. :-/

The weekend was way more fun.  I got my hair done on Saturday, bought some goodies at Penney's, and bought a few groceries.  I am loving the Lemon Triple Ginger Snap ice cream from Trader Joe's.  We made a tasty dinner and put off household chores by playing Skyrim.  (Pictured: Me after my haircut and Pink Lemonade Margaritas I made on Saturday.)

Sunday was less productive as I had a headache that I was afraid might turn into a migraine.  I slept in, made breakfast for us, and then caught up on DVRed shows for a bit.  I hope all of you had a fun and migraine-free weekend!

It is time again for Friend Makin' Monday.  If you have a blog, I would like to invite you to answer the questions as well.  Leave me a comment here, so I know you are playing.  Then you can also leave a comment over at All The Weigh, so other folks can check out your answers as well.  It is a fun way to connect to other bloggers.

  1. Your hair looks really cute in that picture! And I so relate to your wish. My chihuahua is only 9 and I'm already anxious about him not being with us any longer. Of course, if he was a vampire chihuahua, I'd have to invest in Milo's treats because that's all he'd want to eat!

  2. I love the upbeat tone of your blog. I also love your level of comfort with yourself. That's really inspiring to me. Love your blog.

  3. Thank you so much. And chiwa love to you! My 15-year-old is still doing really well, even though he can't hear and can barely see. He's still really healthy. My 14-year-old is the worst off as she has a major heart murmur and takes 5 different medications, but she's still doing good and is always very feisty. You still have lots of time. But I do wish we could make them into little vampires. I wouldn't like feeding him mice, but I would if it meant he could still be with me. :-)

  5. I know what you mean about the furkids. Letting go of them DOES suck. A lot. You try to prepare yourself, but you just can't. But I wouldn't have traded the time with them for anything ever. Now I have new furkids, and it's fun to watch them grow and remember when the old ones did the same stupid things. (Things like climbing on top of bookcases and breaking things and spazzing out all the time....my fur babies are cats, and you forget when yours are all older how hyper they were back when they were young!)

Also, I too fail at plants. My new office has a plant...my co-worker put it in there because the light is better on that side of the building. I told her that if she wanted it to live, she probably needed to water it and stuff, because if she left me in charge it would be a dead plant.

PS-and this is gonna sound dumb-but your eyebrows are always perfect. Is there a secret? A trick? Help me obi-wan, you're my only hope?

  6. LOL If I didn't already know you were awesome, you would definitely have won me over with the Star Wars line. :-) I really appreciate your compliment. It has taken me a long time to get my eyebrows to the way they are today. I have been tweezing them since I was 13, and for a while, they were over-tweezed. Too thin and too short. They finally grew out to the proper length and I groom them to the natural arch.
I use a little battery operated razor to clean up the edges and top areas when the need arises. For filling them in, I use Anastasia brow powder (http://www.sephora.com/brow-powder-duo-P69300?skuId=929778) and a clear mascara to keep them neat and tidy during the day. I hope that helps.

My husband bought me orchids for our anniversary at the end of May, and I am SO terrified they are gonna die soon. Two of them have shriveled already. I even collected rain water to water them because the online guide I read said orchids like rain water. But I don't know how long these are gonna last lol I'm terrible with plants.
