It is that holiday time of year again! While I don't have a ton of holiday parties to attend, I love eyeing and collecting sparkly pieces this time of year. I believe in shimmer and sparkle day or night, all your round. Naturally, the holiday season brings fashion that touches my glitter-loving heart!! From dressy to casual, disco ball brightness to more subtle hints of sparkle, there is something twinkly out there for everyone's taste.
In today's post, I am reviewing the Lustrous Lace Wrap Top from Kiyonna. This top is lacy with an overall shimmer that makes it perfect for dressing up or down for the holidays, but it is also completely wearable and appropriate for a summer wedding as well. Versatility never goes out of style! Read on for my review...

I chose the Lustrous Lace Wrap Top for a few reasons. Obviously the sparkle factor was first and foremost. I love the look of the flutter sleeves, all over lace, ruffled v-neckline, and pretty olive color. I don't own many olive-hued tops, but I feel that it is a great color for year-round fashion. (Again with the year round, I know, but I love versatile pieces that can be utilized the whole year.) While I have reviewed various wrap dress styles from Kiyonna over the past year, I haven't tried any of their wrap tops yet. I was excited to give it a go and take the top out for a test drive recently!
I am wearing this top in a 3X and find it fits true to size. As usual I am 5'9", typically wear a 22/24, and my measurements are 52/49/58. The color of the top is just as pictured, a gorgeous olive tone with pops of silvery shimmer from the lace pattern. This style also comes in black. The hem hits me right below mid-hip, which is a great length for pairing the top with skirts and jeans alike. Both the lining and lace have stretch to them. The fabrics used are lightweight, which lends to the versatility. I didn't need to iron it either, so I feel it would travel well. I also want to point out that the lace did not feel itchy at all. It did not irritate me or my skin and feels smooth to the touch.
The Lustrous Lace Wrap Top is a true wrap style. The ties are made of the lacy material, but feel sturdy and stay in place. I do like how wrap styles allow for you to personalize the fit to your body shape. I am smaller on top than on bottom and feel that wrap styles really lend to the fitted bust I want, but give me enough room in the hips to move around. In particular, I love the wrap styles with more empire waist silhouettes because those seem to be the best waist placement for my body shape. I will point out that this top seems to tie farther on the side than some of my other wrap pieces. I tied it myself, but if you have any upper body mobility issues you may need a friend to help you out.
The ruffles and flutter sleeves are such lovely feminine details! I love the way the ruffles accentuate my bust and neckline. While the bust did fit me very well overall, I did have a bit of extra room. My bust is on the smaller side of a B cup, so extra room is something I am familiar with. For me, this just means I have to check the v-neck now and then to make sure the edge of my bra isn't showing. It isn't a big concern or a big issue. I could easily pin it in place or wear a cami underneath to accommodate. However, I felt it was worth pointing out in case your body is shaped like mine. And if you have larger breasts, there is room for you too!
The flutter sleeves are bell-shaped, but not too large. I have big upper arms, so this style of sleeve provides coverage without being clingy. Of course, this also means they are comfortable and do not feel restricting at all. I also love that the sleeves are a little bit longer in length. They hit right above my elbow.
I absolutely recommend this top! It has great feminine details, shimmery lace, and is incredibly comfortable to wear, while also being a versatile piece for numerous events, occasions, and seasons. I am super excited to wear it again!
In styling this piece, I wanted it to do most of the talking. The shimmering lace is so lovely and I didn't want the rest of my look to compete. In thinking of holiday parties, I decided to pair the top with a faux suede pencil skirt in black, the eyelet cutouts mimicking the lace in the top. My black wedges have silver piping that keep the shimmer going and pull the head-to-toe look together. I topped the ensemble with silver accessories in the form of a crystal statement necklace and bangle bracelets, and topped it off with a berry-colored lipstick. I'm ready to party!
I should say, I am ready to party indoors! It was 40 degrees outside when I was shooting these photos and I was FREEZING! hahaha
