Q & A Monday: Have You Ever?

I definitely missed Q & A Monday last week.  Kenlie, who puts out these questions every week, lives in Louisiana and was without power due to Hurricane Isaac.  She's back and so are the questions!

I have been home alone for the past five days while the husband traveled out-of-state.  They held a second memorial for his father, closer to his mom's side of the family.  They have lots of family and friends that couldn't attend the memorial out here.  We don't have any fur kid babysitters, so I stayed home to make sure everyone got meds twice a day.

I also did a lot of cleaning.  The kitchen is the cleanest it has been in a while - no dishes in sight!  The  bedroom is tidy and dust free.  The laundry is folded.  My dressing room is organized.  The dining room has been somewhat de-cluttered.

I am looking forward to not cleaning much this week.  I have blog posts to work on, and much, much more on my To Do List.

It is time again for Friend Makin' Monday.  If you have a blog, I would like to invite you to answer the questions as well.  Leave me a comment here, so I know you are playing.  Then you can also leave a comment over at All The Weigh, so other folks can check out your answers as well.  It is a fun way to connect to other bloggers.

Have You Ever?

1. Jumped out of an airplane?
No, and I never will.  I hate flying. I hate airplanes.  I hate being in airplanes when I am safely strapped in, WHY would I JUMP OUT OF ONE!!?!?! No, thank you.

2. Lived alone?
Yes.

3. Met a celebrity?
Met lots of celebrities. :-)

4. Said something to someone that you immediately regret saying?
I'm sure I have, but I usually think about what I am gonna say for so long that it isn't something that happens often.

5. Had a manicure/pedicure?
I have had a few manicures and about 2 or 3 pedicures in my life.

6.  Gotten a hickey?
Yep. lol

7. Owned a pet that was not a dog or a cat?
When I was 4, we had an iguana named Spike.  We also had mice, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, birds...at various times.

8. Been outside of your home country?
I've only been to Canada a handful of times.  I love Canada, but I would LOVE to travel more in the future. (yes, even though I HATE flying.)

9. Kissed your best friend?
Well, I guess I kissed him before he became my best friend, so I don't know if that counts.

10. Eaten food that fell on the floor?
Probably something small, but it isn't a common occurrence. And usually there is a chihuahua vacuum by my feet to clean up any spills.

11. Met someone online?
Yes.  I've met many great people from online.  Some have turned out to be long-time friends.

12. Been on TV?
Yep.  I've been in a few commercials.

13. Had braces?
I had braces for 4 years, starting in 8th grade.  I even had the contraption that was on the roof of my mouth that expanded my jaw.  Fun times. :-/

14. Gone skinny dipping?
Hell no.

15. Been to the opera?
I don't know that I've seen a whole opera, but I have been to some small performances.

16. Been caught making out by a policeman?
No.

17. Sang in public?
I've done karaoke a handful of times.  I have to be pretty tipsy to do it though.  I get too nervous.

18. Handed out candy on Halloween?
Sure.  We don't really do it anymore because our neighborhoods have been FULL of little goblins. I don't want to have to spend that much money on candy every year.  So nowadays, we stay in and watch scary movies with all the lights off.

19. Been snowed in?
Yep.  The worst was for a week.  This girl I worked with spent the night since I lived close to work, but we still got snowed in so neither one of us could go anywhere.  That annoying girl was at my house for a WEEK.  She followed me everywhere, copied everything I did, and talked non-stop.  It was horrendous.

20. Fallen in front of other people?
Yeah.  The most memorable is when I was bowling with my mom, aunt, and cousin.  I swung the bowling ball down the lane and as I stepped back, my slippery shoe caused me to just fall flat on my back.  I laid there stunned for a few seconds.  Then my mom grabbed my arms and pulled me (while I was still on my back).  I just started laughing.  It must have been quite the sight to others.

21. Cheated on a test?
No.  I'm not a cheater.  I put in the work to study and followed the rules.

22. Regretted saying “I love you” to someone?
No.

23. Finished a meal in a restaurant and realized that you didn’t have your wallet?
No. Why would anyone leave the house without their belongings?

24. Shot a gun?
Yeah, just not at the right people. I am TOTALLY joking.  I shot some targets with my dad when I was a little kid.  I have also been to the target shooting place once with my husband.  I hate guns.  No one should have them.

25. Heard a song that was written for (or about) you?
Nope. Unfortunately not.  My adolescent dreams were full of songs written by a specific boy bander, proclaiming his undying love for me.
