Hello, dahlings!!
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Part of my weekend fun was helping my mother-in-law celebrate her birthday. Mr. Diva and I took her to the movies and out for yummy pizza before chillin' at the house with her and my father-in-law. He goes back into the hospital for another round of chemo, starting today, so I hope we were able to bring some happy to them.
In celebration of the MIL's birthday, I finally had a chance to wear my leopard jacket from Torrid. I acquired it last month with the help of my birthday coupon! I've definitely come to love wearing prints. I usually opt for more color, but this jacket is so great and very versatile. I was wearing it with a silver crystal heart necklace because I didn't have a proper colorful neck piece to wear with it.
After I got my hair cut at Penney's on Saturday, I was looking at the jewelry and found the one I'm wearing in the pictures. I loved the rhinestones and the pop of neon pink. I felt it went really well with the jacket and was just what I was looking for. Later on, I paired it with my pink bracelets to complete the ensemble.
Leopard Open-Front Jacket - Torrid
Maxi Dress - Lane Bryant (2011)
Neon Pink and Rhinestone Necklace - JC Penney's (didn't see it online)
Pink Stud Wrap and Day Glo Chain Bracelets (pictured below) - Bauble Bar
I'm bummed that my makeup didn't photograph as I had intended though. My lips were bright pink and my eyeshadow had a hint of purple. It was very fun. I'm still learning what works and doesn't work as far as posing and makeup and photographing the outfits.
What's your favorite print? Or have you recently bought a great printed garment that you never thought you would?

Thank you, Allison! That means a lot to me. I have been drooling over your fantastic outfits for a while now.
DeleteThank you so much!
Awesome outfit! My friend is moving to Scotland and she gave me some clothes she cant take with her. Suprisingly enough, there was a sleeveless shirt from Wal-Mart of all places that I have fallen in love with. It has shades of turquoise with white and kind of a tribal print. I paired it with my new skinny jean, brown flipflops and matching turquoise and brown earings.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to Torrid for the first time ever on Thursday. They just opened a store not too far away from where I'm currently living. I haven't had a chance to go to the other stores further away.
Savannah! (Beautiful name, BTW) Thank you so much!
DeleteOMG, you are gonna have so much fun at Torrid! Try everything on. It's good to get an idea of fit in case you need to purchase online. I love all the fun summer styles they have out right now.
Your outfit sounds awesome! Turquoise and brown is such a beautiful combination! Wal-Mart really has some great things lately. They have even more stuff online; and you can't beat the prices! Last summer I bought two dresses from Wal-Mart. They had a great empire waist and some ruffles. Which reminds me, I think I need to wear them again soon :-)
Thanks for coming to the blog!
Thanks! I love my name and now it is kind of funny now that I live in Georgia. I went to Savannah, GA last Thursday.
DeleteI had a BLAST at Torrid. I went with my younger sister and I felt like I tried on half the store. Sadly, I am unemployed, but searching for a job. (I have a BS degree in Environmental Biology) I wasn’t able to purchase anything, but loved almost everything I tried on. My sister found an outfit she adored and we will probably go back next week so she can purchase the outfit when she gets her paycheck.
Oh, you live in Georgia!? I lived in Augusta and Brunswick. I have a sister in Augusta and one near Savannah.
DeleteI'm so glad you had a great time on your Torrid adventure. I hate having to leave empty-handed too. Where are some magic money tree seeds for everyone???
