Oh my! What is that strange ball of light in the sky?? hahaha That is how long it has been since I have seen the sun. It has rained and rained and rained for at least a month now. So with the day of sun, I got all dolled up and took some outfit photos.
First up is this gorgeous pencil skirt from Kiyonna! I put together a snazzy date night outfit to inspire those of you who like something not red or pink for Valentine's Day, or just want to strut your sparkly curves for any occasion. Read on for my review....

Kiyonna is such a wonderful brand with consistent sizing and quality pieces in timeless silhouettes. I truly adore the brand and am so happy to have the opportunity to work with them regularly. They gifted me with this gorgeous Boucle Pencil Skirt this month. (There's also a matching Boucle Wrap Coat.)
I am wearing this skirt in a 3X and find it fits true to size. (For reference, I am a size 22/24, 5'9" tall, and my measurements are 52/50/59.) The textured knit fabric is stretchy and comfortable to wear. It isn't too thick either, so I feel like it can be worn through every season. The waist band is wide and made of the same textured knit, which makes it comfortable and keeps the skirt in place. The hem hit me right below the knee. A panel of gold metallic sparkle decorates the front and back of the skirt. It is so pretty and adds a more sophisticated and classy sparkle. I like sparkles any way they come, but this look made me feel very posh and ladylike. By the way, the metallic sparkle comes from a gold thread sewn into the textured fabric to create the design, but there are tiny black sequins scattered throughout to add some extra shine.
In styling this piece, I wanted to keep it simple and shimmery, with interest throughout the look to balance out the awesome skirt. The tank has beads and sequins along the neckline to draw the eye up as well. The gold shimmer cardigan plays off the gold in the skirt, just in a lighter tone. I added a black belt to keep the open cardigan in place for a more polished overall look. The belt has a leopard print buckle that also plays off the gold and black color theme I have going on.
