After spending a majority of my March quarantined in my house, I finally had a chance to break out for Bunco at the beginning of April!  I was so excited to get out and see my wonderful friends that I dressed up in this fun ensemble.  I've been stepping out of my comfort zone a bit lately a lot lately in all aspects of life; but fashion-wise, this is one of my first attempts at pattern-mixing.  Initially, I was going to wear a black sequined tank with the same sweater, but I really wanted more bright and cheery colors involved.  I quite like the way it turned out.


When Kiyonna sent me this wonderful skirt, I couldn't wait to wear it!  I am a sucker for tulle and more full skirts like this.  The length was perfect for me (for reference, I am 5'9" and wearing a 3X.)  The tulle is soft and flowy - trust me, there was twirling involved, just hard to capture it in photos.  I just felt so feminine and lovely in this skirt.  I can't wait to wear it again and again!


The skirt is lined, so no need for an extra slip unless you just really want to wear one.  The ruched waistband is a fun touch, but if you want to wear it higher on your waist or make it into an empire look I would recommend sizing down.  The waistband was a little big on me and didn't sit quite like I wanted it to, though I really like the look of the belt with it. I received a ton of compliments on the skirt and ensemble.  That is always an awesome thing!
