Now on to this month's theme: Spring Has Sprung!
I have been so excited for spring, bright colors, and cheery weather! Unfortunately, the weather isn't cheery at the moment, but we did have a nice little run of pretty weather after my departure from the Plastic Palace. The trees, bushes, and flowers in my front and backyard are all abloom and looking lovely. I love looking outside and not seeing tree skeletons and sad, crispy bushes anymore. About a week ago, I had a lovely day out attending a joint birthday party for my aunt and I and later going out to dinner with friends at a local winery.
I planned this outfit for the day's events and took photos long before I realized I wore this same shrug in last month's Sartorial Medley. Forgive me, but this also shows you how much I love the Amber shrugs. They are so handy and versatile! It was a little chilly and windy on this early April Saturday, so I needed the sleeves. Since I decided on having my pops of color in accessory form, I went with a simple black belt. This dress actually comes with a turquoise skinny belt (and looks super cute with it), but I will wear that next time.
I adore the fit and flare style and the fuller skirt. It just appeals to me so much. Of course, polka dots are pretty fun too. I go crazy for polka dots!
