Once fall approached, I wasted no time pulling out my boots and scarves and readying my favorite fall uniforms for this time of year. We've had drier weather than usual (meaning, it hasn't been raining EVERY day), so I've enjoyed having a little more freedom in my layering without the need for hoodies and rain gear.
Today's outfit is just another example of my fall uniform - tall boots, skinny jeans, and a cute top.
I ran errands around town in this look, as Sean and I hit up local thrift stores to search for a few furniture items we are in need of. (I did find a cute chair for my filming area!)
- I bought the items in this post. All opinions presented are my own and without influence. This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

Before we get started, I am 5'9", typically wear a 22/24, wear a 40B bra, a size 11 wide shoe, and my measurements are 52/49/58.
Blame it on my practicality, my need for comfort, my increasing age number - whatever - but I really have no patience for fussy things and uncomfortable clothing. So I love snatching up knit pieces like this babydoll top from Torrid. I'm wearing a size 3 and find it fits true to size. The fabric is a really soft knit that is stretchy and so easy to wear. It breathes and moves without issue. I love the v-neck surplice neckline (it's kind of like a faux wrap), the empire waist and peplum silhouette, and three-quarter sleeves. I do find that the stretch waist looks a little more pale in color as it stretches. I've gained a little weight with my depression (oh, what a joy!), so it's a little stretchier than usual. Still, it wasn't noticeable at all in person, only with a camera flash once I took photos.I absolutely love the floral print with vivid little flowers in yellow, red, and peach. The colors allow for a variety of complementary colors to be worn alongside the top. The website says the background is black, but it looks more dark navy in person. I actually thought it was navy until I went to find the link for this post.
I paired the top with a comfy pair of dark wash skinny jeans, my tall boots from Avenue (these are on their last legs. I just bought a new pair from Torrid you will see in future posts.), rose gold jewelry, a brown purse (does it bother you that the browns don't match? I can't decide if I like it or hate it that way), and my olive anorak jacket. It's an easy peasy outfit formula, while still feeling comfortable enough to run around town and, arguably, be the best dressed person at Goodwill. haha
