If you've recently checked out my LOFT fitting room post and video, then you've seen these pieces and know how crazy I am about them!  I ventured over to LOFT to check out the new fall items and tried on a ton of styles.  But when I put on this moto coat and velvet pants, I immediately felt like a badass boss babe!  I strutted around the dressing room and kept finding any excuse to put the coat back on.  That's when you know you need to take it home with you!

I knew they needed to be their own Pink Lady ensemble.  Read on for my review of these items!





Let's start with the Wooly Moto Coat.  The manager already pulled this piece as one for me to try on. It had just arrived in store that day, so I totally lucked out!  As soon as I saw the color, I went a little crazy.  It is a gorgeous pink!  I thought the moto style for a heavier coat like this was really cool, so I was excited to try it on.  I just didn't know I would be this smitten with it.

I'm wearing a size 24, and find the fit to be pretty spot on.  I have larger upper arms that are usually hard to fit, but this coat fits well.  I can't wear a super heavy or thick sweater underneath, but that's generally not an issue for me.  The 26 was definitely too large overall.  The 24, however, is a little big in the bust, but that is always an issue for me as a small-busted lady.  The fabric is soft with great structure.  It is a heavier coat, but I don't feel laden down wearing it.  It does feature the asymmetric moto style zipper closure, zippered pockets, and snaps to keep the funnel neck secure.  The hem hits me around mid-thigh, which is another thing I love about this coat.  Longer coats (especially on men) make me hot, but I also feel hot and super cool in this length.  The seaming in back helps to hug/skim my curves just right.


Along with the coat, I was gifted the Velvet Skinny Pants in the shade Magenta Kiss.  This color is a very vibrant pink/red with a more cool-toned pink shift in the light.  They are so soft!  I am wearing the 24 and find them true to size.  The waist is just a smidge tight on me, but these pants have plenty of stretch so they aren't uncomfortable.  It isn't a restricting feeling, just a more fitted one.  The fabric is more lightweight than denim, though these pants are a jean style with pockets in front and back.  I don't think the fabric accentuates lumps and bumps at all.  The hem hits me at the ankle, so I can wear them with flats as well as booties and heels.  In plus, they also come in black and navy.  In straight sizes, they come in black, navy, magenta, green, and ruby.  They are also machine washable, just FYI.

I paired this combo with black wedge booties and a floral Promenade top I bought from Kiyonna in the spring.  The dark pink hue in the floral print perfectly matches the velvet pants.  The pink is perfectly a statement on its own, so I added some simple silver jewelry for a little extra shine.  I absolutely love this look, and love all the items I have picked up from Loft.  I've been really impressed with the consistency of sizing.  This knowledge has helped me purchase more from their online range, confident that the clothing will fit.
