The picnic portion of the reunion was on Saturday afternoon on the day of the big party. It had already been a longer trip for me, so my depleted energy, lack of sleep, overflow of emotions, anxiety, and mild insecurity all got the better of me that morning. I had a full-blown panic attack and just knew the day was ruined. But the people around me are amazing and kind, supporting me and checking on me throughout the weekend. They gave me encouraging words so I could gather myself and get on with my day.
So I present you with a little photo journal of the picnic portion of events!
What I wore to the picnic! You've seen this outfit on the blog before. I was all about comfort, but I also chose looks that represented me and my style at the same time. The purse is a Baggallini I found on Poshmark, while the glitter water bottle was one I found at Kroger in Savannah while shopping with my sister.
Hoppin' on Roger's Facebook Live for the reunion group when we arrived.
Folks played games out on the grass until the rain started.
And the sky opened up! We made the best of it and, honestly, I was happy it wasn't too hot. I can handle poofy hair better than I can handle sweating profusely.
My beautiful friend Ericka and I
Brandon pulled out his guitar and played a few songs. I was so excited to hear him in person after all these years, so I was trying to keep my giddiness under the surface.
Oh you know, just some rockin' at the park. Don't mind my "I'm so excited but I'm going to play it so cool" facade.
I waited for my friend Orissa to show up before we left to get ready for the party. I wasn't even sure if she was going to come, so I was so happy to see her!
Next time I'll take you to the actual reunion party! Until next time, you can catch up (if you haven't already) with my pre-reunion Savannah leg of the trip and Homecoming night reunion festivities.
