Are your eyes deceiving you?  Did I actually take outfit photos?  Yes, yes I did.  But here's the thing, I came down with a case of plantar fasciitis after making my neighborhood walks more frequent.  I don't know if you've had such an issue, but it HURTS!  The I-can't-walk-on-my-foot-or-I-am-in-excrutiating-pain type of hurt.  Then I sprained the ankle on that same foot trying to put on my pajama pants.  So I haven't been doing much of anything lately.  I've been icing my ankle and stretching it and trying not to push it too hard.  I also got vaccinated a couple weeks ago, so that kept me down for a few days as well.

We finally ventured over to my mother-in-law's house for the first time since Christmas, so I decided I would put on actual clothes and not just wear pajamas this time.  And that seemed like a good enough reason to take outfit photos, despite the limping I was doing that you can't see from a still photo.

My foot seems to be healing, but I still have bouts of plantar fasciitis issues, particularly if I've done a lot of walking.  So you may see these sneakers, and other practical shoes, on the blog quite a lot.  Just FYI. 

I'm obsessed with off-the-shoulder tops.  I'm pretty sure I've told you before, but I need to say it again.  And I'm not being dramatic.  I think I've bought seven off-the-shoulder tops in the last few months.  I have a problem.

So it should be no surprise that I bought this one, which is still available in sizes 12 and 18 through 30.  The Moon Vintage Indigo Tie-Dye Off-the-Shoulder Sweatshirt is a comfy, tie-dyed shirt with a simple but delightful moon and flowers design on the front.  I sized up to a 4 (26/28) because I am sorta in between sizes at Torrid right now, and I like my off-the-shoulder tops to hang farther down my shoulder.  That makes me feel sexier.  It's comfortably oversized in the body, but not so much that it looks sloppy.  I've been buying a 4 in all my newly acquired tops of this style.

A lot of the time, I choose to wear a strapless bra underneath a shirt like this to show off a bare shoulder.  Lately, though, I've been wanting to just wear my usual, uplifting normal bra, but I feel it is tacky when a non-descript bra strap shows.  I found a few lace-trimmed tanks at Maurices that have decorative lacy straps that are perfect for layering.  I bought a black one (the one I'm wearing) and a burgundy one first, but they also have navy and mauve.  The ribbed knit tanks are soft and comfy and pretty true to size.  They aren't super thin, but they aren't thick either.  I'm wearing the tank in a 3 (22/24) and found that to work well for me in Maurices sizing.

Surprisingly enough, the first pair of denim capris I grabbed off my shelf actually fit!  Like so many of us, I have definitely gained some weight during Quarantine, so not all of my clothes fit exactly as I remember.  These jeans may be a little tight, but they have been comfortable and, come on, my butt looks great in these!  This exact pair is a few years old, but Torrid does carry a couple similar options.  I love the Boyfriend styles for my body shape the best.  I feel like they really fit my larger hips and thighs comfortably, but contour the curves in a way I find pleasing.  I'm wearing a 22 in these.  They have ample stretch because I'm definitely on the larger end of a 24 right now.

The new sneakers I ended up getting are by a Swiss brand called On.  They are not cheap by any means, but they are supportive and sturdy.  This was the brand my husband has been wearing that helped him a lot with his plantar fasciitis issues a few years ago.  When I started having the same problem, he demanded I try them.  Plus, I really wanted another pair of purple sneakers because my favorite Reeboks had to be retired.  So far, these have performed well and provided a nice cushion.  I took my first neighborhood walk with them the other day and felt good during the walk.  They aren't a cure, but they are helpful.
