Hello and welcome back to the blog! Last week I shared about my trip to Seattle pre-COVID to visit a dear friend. Sean and I were scheduled to attend Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, but it was canceled. We still wanted to visit my friend and make a little getaway out of it, so we headed to the beach for a few days, spent the weekend in Seattle, and stopped by Olympic National Park.
Today's post is a photo diary of the first leg of that trip to Long Beach, Washington! I also made a short video of places we visited at the beach and Olympic National Park.

I'll make any excuse to go to the beach. Despite the apprehensive fright going on about COVID at the time, Sean and I thought an excursion to the beach would be safe. We keep to ourselves well enough, had ample room to walk and hike, could spend time at the beach without being surrounded by people, and would probably be relaxing in the room anyway. We love staying at the Adrift properties while in Long Beach. The food at the hotel restaurant, Pickled Fish, is delightful, as is the service and staff we encountered. I love the room set-up at Inn at Discovery Coast, with a gas fireplace and jetted tub. It just makes it easy to relax. Adrift is always our first choice, and they have dog-friendly rooms so we can bring the boys on occasion. They also have a distillery now, so we were able to get a tasting in one morning. I recommend the Cranberry Liqueur and Amaro!
Our first day started with that boozy tasting! Then we headed out to Cape Disappointment State Park to walk in nature and take photos. After a stop at Beards Hollow, we found a place to park and walked along the coast and out to the tip of the beach. We took photos for quite a while and listened to the crashing of the waves. The beach belonged to just us, so we danced around and had a very peaceful time. Porpoise, seal, and bird watching also kept us quite amused! We made it back to the hotel for sunset, where we snacked on cheese and crackers before heading to the restaurant for dinner.
The entire second day was spent doing another boudoir shoot. Sean is my photographer for all my outfit photos, so he stepped up to be my photog for some other lingerie pieces I really wanted to wear! I had so much fun with my first boudoir shoot and really wanted to recreate that awesome feeling that it gave to me. I had a better idea of different looks to use, and the added benefit of being able to try some nude poses as well. It was classy, y'all! I'll show you my favorite shots in a separate post.

| Sean was up on the rocks taking photos and somehow dropped his wedding band into this giant pile of driftwood. I was very upset because we bought his ring at a shop in Hawaii. But somehow this man found his ring!! This is him being cocky after having found it. |
