Sean and I had a big weekend in Seattle planned where we would attend Emerald City Comic Con and spend time with a dear friend of mine I have known since 5th grade.  She and her husband had recently moved to Seattle and I had yet to be able to spend much time with them.  After ECCC was cancelled because of the impending COVID doom, Sean and I decided that we should still go visit my friend anyway.  We spent a few days at the beach, one of which I spent in its entirety doing another boudoir shoot that I still haven't shown you.  Then we visited Seattle for the weekend, literally right before Quarantine set in.  We had no idea what was coming.  On the way home, we stopped for a short hike in Olympic National Park.  The first and third leg of this trip will be in separate posts.  Today's post is a look at our time in Seattle.

These posts will be a little more like a photo diary to make it easier for me.  Thankfully, we were able to spend some time with my friend and her husband.  We all went out to dinner and had drinks at a wine bar.  It was a bit surreal at that time seeing the restaurants social distancing tables and the like.  My friend was also pregnant, so there was an extra sense of caution that set in while we were there and things with the virus escalated more.  Mainly, we were there to see her and I'm glad we went.  

Otherwise, Sean and I had a pretty chill visit.  We spent an afternoon enjoying the sunshine in Lake Union Park and stopped by a very quiet Pike's Place Market to get our favorite treats before heading out.  We were sitting at a bar having dinner when the bartender got the call that all the establishments were being shut down.  It made it that more real to witness this young bartender completely baffled as to whether she was going to have a job and what she was going to do if she didn't.  We were all just dumbfounded since none of us had ever been through anything like this.
