Thankfully, the ladies of Sartorial Medley and I decided on a theme prior to my radiation, so I took some photos of my outfit choice in advance!  I really, really love this look.  It is kind of retro in a sense, comfortable, and super fun to wear!

This was my first time wearing my black eShakti skirt.  However, it is already too big and may be my first sewing machine project.   I ordered it before I started losing more weight with all the dietary changes I have had to make.  I need to take it in about four or five inches.  It is the first thing from eShakti I have ordered without customizing it to my actual measurements, choosing to go by the size chart this time.  According to my measurements and the size chart, I should have ordered this in a size 30.  But I went with my size at the time - 26.  When I received it, it was still a little big.  Keep that in mind when you order.  I recently bought a chambray skirt in this same style and ordered a 22, which fits wonderfully.  There is an elastic panel in the back of the waistband that helps with fit.

Other things you might want to know: The material is poplin, so no stretch and definitely needs to be ironed.  Also, dog/cat hair sticks to it, so you need a sticky roller.  It has pockets sewn in on the sides, which I love.

For the "animal" portion of this look,  I tucked a leopard tank into the skirt for that awesome fit and flare look, added some leopard flats, and a turquoise shrug for some color.  I found the belt at the Lane Bryant outlet and love that it has silver and gold little studs on it. I sized down with it because it is elastic, so it fits really good and will stay put.
