Fo-Sho

Okay....here is a pet peeve of mine that I have noticed a lot lately:

What is up with calling everything by its initials? On Little People, Big World this week they kept calling the Virgin Islands "BVI".   On radio commercials I just heard 5 minutes ago, they are calling the Trans-Siberian Orchestra "TSO".

Really?  Is it so much harder to just say the freaking whole name of a place?  It only takes a few more seconds.  It really doesn't take a lot extra out of you to call something by its name.  I also feel this way about "SoCal", "FroYo", and "rom-com".

Just sayin'...

  1. Ha ha. I've heard TSO for years though. Guess everyone is in too much of a hurry for big words. :-)
