Diva in the Kitchen: Cheddar Garlic Biscuits

I've been going to Red Lobster since I was a small child.  It was always the fancy place to eat out to celebrate some big event or accomplishment.  It wasn't every day we got to go to Red Lobster, but when we did, ooooh boy!  We would scarf down as many garlic cheese biscuits as we could because those were always the BEST damn things we had ever had!

In my adulthood, I've always tried to replicate the tastiness that is the Red Lobster biscuits.  I haven't had any luck until last night.

My friend Summer posted a picture of the biscuits she made and said they "kick booty".  I immediately snagged her recipe and made it myself.  It is TOO GOOD not to share.  They may even taste better because I feel that victory is finally mine!

Cheddar Garlic Biscuits

  • Box of Bisquick (I used Krusteaz, but same difference)
  • 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • Butter
  • Garlic salt
  • Garlic Powder
  • Parsley (dried or fresh diced in very small bits)
Directions
Make the biscuit recipe from the box of Bisquick (or Krusteaz) as directed.  Add 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese and mix well.  I had to get my hands in there to really incorporate the cheese.  Make drop biscuits and drop them onto a non-stick or well greased baking sheet.  Bake for 10 minutes.  Melt 1/2 stick of butter.  Add about 2 teaspoons of garlic salt, 2 teaspoons of parsley, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and stir together.  (You may end up needing a little bit more or less butter depending on how it tastes the best to you.  I used a lot of butter.)
Brush the butter mixture onto the biscuits and bake for another 5 minutes.  When you take them out of the oven, brush them with a little more butter.  Then, as Summer said, eat until you explode! lol

ENJOY!!!

(Update: Also use them to make breakfast sandwiches!)
