Hiya from my vacation! I'm staying in a little mountain town in northeastern Oregon for the week. And yes, I will be posting about the trip on the blog. I tried kayaking for the first time today and cannot wait to talk about it!
As you know, I am a Her Universe Ambassador, which means I occasionally receive an item from a new Her Universe collection so that I can share it with you hear on the blog. I was so excited when I heard about The Lord of the Rings collection, and even more thrilled that I was able to participate.
The Frodo Cosplay Elven Cloak inspired a cute outfit ready for adventure and an enjoyable photoshoot in the woods near my house!
- Her Universe gifted me the cloak in this post. All opinions presented are my own and without influence. This post contains affiliate links and I make a small commission if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

I am wearing The Lord of the Rings Frodo Cosplay Elven Cloak in size 2x/3x. There is, of course, plenty of room since it is a full cape. The deep green color is absolutely gorgeous, with a crossover button closure and a large hood. I'm a sucker for embroidery, so the Leaves of Lorien embroidery calls to me!
The cape is lined in a fabric that features the One Ring, Sting, and leaves.
I was SO EXCITED to receive this piece and couldn't wait to put together a Hobbit look. I recently met Elijah Wood and Sean Astin while dressed like a Hobbit lady. For this look, I decided to do a take on a male Hobbit's outfit with some items from my closet, including the embroidered vest from this same collection (that I ordered for myself).

By some chance of fate, these pants found their way to me. They are linen-like trouser-style pants that I wouldn't normally own, but I am so grateful I had them for this cosplay fun! They wrinkle quite easily and are a little long in the crotch for me, depending on how I move. As a size 24, I would say they are more generously cut, with an elasticized waist so they just pull on.
I found the button-down shirt recently at Target and thought it would be an excellent breezy addition to my closet. I love the colored stripes and texture of the fabric. I bought it in a 4X so that it would be oversized for the way I intended to wear it. I have plenty of room, though the cut looks a bit boxy on me, but the upper arm area is a great fit. At only $25, this top was a great deal for the look and feel of it!
I topped the look with The Lord of the Rings Embroidered Girls Button-Up Vest. I purchased the 4X. I think it is cut for more of a larger bust/small waist figure, which is not me. It's a little snug at my tummy and, seeing as how it is also cropped, tends to ride up as I move around. The bust is also a little large, though I am happy for the extra room to layer the vest over other things. It's cute, but not a perfect fit. I'm still glad I bought it.

Will you be living your Hobbit dreams or would you rather be in Rivendell?
