Slowly catching up over here with another outfit post! This time I'm bringing you what I wore to Friendsgiving. That weekend was so hectic! I did a KATU segment in Portland and raced home to finish packing and head to Tacoma for an Outlander Craft Day. On Saturday, I attended the all-day crafting fun, but had to leave a little early to head back home to change clothes, feed the dogs, and then head to Portland for Friendsgiving. I made cookies in advance so I wasn't worrying about what to bring. I was exhausted by the end of it all, but I did learn to arm knit at craft day!

Before we get started, I am 5'9", typically wear a 22/24, wear a 40B bra, a size 11 wide shoe, and my measurements are 52/49/58.
The Plaid Peplum Challis Camp Shirt from Torrid is still available in all sizes (10-30). I am wearing a 3 (22/24) and find it fits true to size. While the fabric is a no-stretch rayon, I still have plenty of room in tummy, hips, and upper arms. Speaking of the fabric, it is very lightweight (not warm and stifling) and can be worn throughout the seasons. I popped a lace-trimmed cami underneath to add some extra warmth in the cold weather. The shirt also needs to be ironed and can wrinkle pretty easy, but I find the pattern camouflages it a bit and makes it not look unkempt.
I often find that plaid shirts can make me look a bit boxy. I like wearing them oversized with skinny jeans, but what really intrigued me about this style was the peplum design. This feature is more prominent in the back, but the gathered peplum comes to the front sides of the shirt and stops at the wide panels along the buttons. I really love the waist definition and shape this style of top offers me. I would love to see similar shirt styles in knit and rayon/spandex fabrics as well. I paired the plaid top with dark wash jeggings and tall brown boots to keep things simple and fall-themed. Of course, I always add sparkling accessories as the icing on the cake. This was one of the first times I wore my "I'm A Fucking Warrior" necklace from Metal Marvels. I bought this necklace for myself to celebrate being five years cancer-free! (I ended up buying myself a lot of things in celebration, like front row tickets to two New Kids On The Block concerts, and first and fourth row tickets to see Westlife in Liverpool. I went a little overboard, but I make no apologies for it. This summer is going to be crazy awesome!)
