For my October segment on KATU's Afternoon Live, I decided to share inspiration for styling one dress for work, dinner, and the weekend! Whether your shopping budget is big or small, we always want value from the things we buy. Versatility in items in your wardrobe is important, gives you more bang for your buck, and can help if you have limited space to work with.

I also hear from strangers and friends alike who often feel their wardrobe is stagnant and unfashionable. I encourage you to make time to play in your closet! Make it a party. Have a friend over. Open a bottle of wine. Play dress-up with no fear and no judgment. Give yourself permission to try on things together that you wouldn't normally wear as an outfit. Try different accessories with pieces you wear all the time.
All of this helps you get a better sense of things you love, what works on your body, what your personal style is, and even items to shop for in the future to expand your wardrobe. Take photos of the outfits you put together during your play time, and keep a list of items you are looking for when you go shopping.
