It's less than a month until my big "Epic Adventure", as I am calling it. Things are overwhelming, and I still have a ton of stuff to get done between now and then. But it will be such an exciting trip once it gets started!!
In the meantime, I'm working on lots of blog posts, YouTube videos, and trip-planning like the anxious over-achiever that I am. And also, I'm finding excuses to enjoy the newly sunny weather. It still isn't too hot, which makes me happy and way less cranky.
I had the privilege of enjoying the weather over the weekend when I wore this beautiful Kiyonna dress out and about! The Tuscan Tie Wrap Dress is an incredibly soft knit, true wrap dress that comes in two gorgeous prints. Read on for my review and notes on fit and the like. You know how we do here! Before we get started, I am 5'9", typically wear a 22/24, wear a 40B bra, a size 11 wide shoe, and my measurements are 52/49/58.
The Tuscan Tie Wrap Dress is a knee-length true wrap dress that comes in a dusty rose floral print or the navy floral and hummingbird print that I am wearing. The fabric is a lusciously soft knit that is incredibly comfortable to wear, perfect for these hotter spring and summer months. The wrap belt is long and easy to tie, and stays secure. I find the wrap to be a little lower than empire waist level, but high enough that it gives me a nice fit-and-flare silhouette. I did not need shapewear underneath either, which is definitely a plus for any garment, but especially one more suited to warmer months.
The V-neckline is not too low or revealing. I adore the feminine touches in the slightly gathered puff sleeve and ruffle. The elastic on the arm is fitted enough to stay in place, but is not tight or restricting. I have larger upper arms and found the ruffle was a little more flat because it was accommodating my larger arms. However, nothing was tight or uncomfortable, nor did it need to be constantly fidgeted with. Also, this fabric can be machine washed, so no need to worry about dry cleaning and the like.
The Tuscan Tie Wrap Dress would be a beautiful and incredibly comfortable addition to your wardrobe. If you have any weddings, graduations, baby showers, or other fun event to go to this summer, I highly recommend this dress. You could also easily dress it down with sneakers or boots and a denim jacket come fall.
