Hey, y'all!! Good grief has life been busy lately! I'm just trying to get through this week as I look forward to things slowing down a bit. I have so much to share with you and many projects to work on. As my certification program wraps up soon, I'm also looking forward to reprioritizing and catching up with you.
I hope your Spooky Season is going well! I grabbed some kettle corn and cozied in to watch Hocus Pocus 2. Today I'm excited to share a piece from the new Her Universe collection to celebrate!

Before we get started, I am 5'9", typically wear a 22/24, wear a 40B bra, a size 11 wide shoe, and my measurements are 52/49/58.
Disney Hocus Pocus Mary Sanderson Lace-Up Top - c/o Her Universe Sleeveless Knit Babydoll Maxi Dress - Ava & Viv via Target Anna Ankle Strap Sandals - Crocs Witch Hat & Flower Crown - Amazon |
I'm sportin' the Mary Sanderson Lace-Up Top from the Hocus Pocus collection in a size 4. I sized up for some extra room and I'm glad I did. The puff sleeves are roomier and a little longer, which I like. The fabric of the top is made of a super soft, stretchy knit that is really comfortable, but it is more clingy because of that stretch and the cut of the body. Silhouettes of Mary, her vacuum, cauldrons, candles, and potion bottles make up the print. I love those little subtle nods that aren't super noticeable at first, and I am loving this sweetheart neckline!
The shirt is a typical shirt length and not cropped but, because of its clinginess in my tummy region, I thought it would be fun to layer it over a dress and tie it up. I think this look suits me and my body shape well. Plus, I get more use out of my summer maxi dresses. (And real talk - I have hideous tan lines on my feet and legs from getting burnt on my kayaking excursion, so I am trying to hide those to the best of my ability.)
I've become a bit obsessed with witch hats because WHY NOT?! So I'm staying on theme with my lovely hat, but tossed on a flower crown too because, again, WHY NOT?!? If the pandemic has taught me anything, it is to be more fully myself. But I gotta say, I am not happy about being able to wear sandals in October. It has still been way too hot here, even exacerbating forest fires way, way too close to home.
So stay safe out there! Don't light any black flame candles.
Don't open any fleshy books with a moving eyeball.
Don't ride off on a vacuum with random women.
And head over to Her Universe to check out the rest of the Hocus Pocus collection!
