Hello, friends! I hope you all had a happy holiday time. Happy New Year! I was committed to resting and enjoying the holiday season, but I was still running around cleaning, tidying, running errands, and making Sean's birthday gift. (He's a Christmas Day Baby.)
It snowed this week, so Sean and I went out to take photos in our new The Witcher gear that Her Universe sent over. I found the first season of The Witcher to be very confusing with the timeline jump arounds, though I did enjoy it overall. Sean and I binged the new season as soon as it came out a couple of weeks ago, and I wish there was MORE already!
If you aren't familiar with the Netflix series, it is about a mutated and supernatural monster hunter named Geralt (played by Henry Cavill) who is constantly journeying to his destiny. There are interesting monsters, mages, castles, sword fights, and more fantasy genre fun.
I was very excited to receive, not only a piece from the plus size Her Universe The Witcher collection, but a piece from their Our Universe men's and unisex line as well. So read on for my review...

Before we get started, I am 5'9", typically wear a 22/24, wear a 40B bra, a size 11 wide shoe, and my measurements are 52/49/58.
(Right now, I'm roughly a size 26 with slightly larger measurements.)

Before I get started, both of these pieces are already sold out on the Her Universe website, but Hot Topic also carries pieces from their collections and has both of these items still in stock.
The Witcher Color-Block Leggings are up first! I'm wearing a Plus Size 3 (not the same as their straight size 3X, just FYI). I find the fit to be spot on. These leggings are SO SOFT. What really drew me to them is the crisscross feature at the calf, which is different from other legging styles I own. These leggings aren't super tight, they don't have compression, but they also didn't ride down or move around as I wore them. The ankle area was a smidge larger and not completely fitted to me leg, but they aren't so big that I had trouble tucking them into my boots.
As a first try of Her Universe leggings, I am very happy with them and look forward to layering them under more dresses and looking like a badass when I go for my neighborhood walks!

The other piece I got to try is The Witcher Geralt Cosplay Hoodie. Her Universe sent over a 3X and, since I haven't tried their Our Universe pieces before, I was worried about how it would fit. While it isn't a super roomy hoodie, it does fit me comfortably. The studded kangaroo pocket, Geralt's symbol on the chest, and shoulder buckles, along with the sword graphic on the back, are a really fun way to put Geralt into a hoodie. The fabric is soft and comfortable to wear.
Because of the proportions of my outfit, I tucked the hoodie up into a cropped length to wear with the dress and leggings. But that's why I brought Sean along too. Not only is he so freakin' cute in his photos, but I think he looks damn good in the hoodie.Sean typically wears a 3X in a majority of his clothing and found the fit to be pretty great. It is a little more fitted over the tummy, but the length is longer than a lot of his other tees and such. He also enjoys the soft fabric and comfort and ease of the fit. Being able to try out the 3X for both of us means that I am also feeling more confident about purchasing some of the other styles in the Our Universe line.
