I love doing fitting room posts, but seldom have the time to get to an actual store. I finally had a chance to shoot some pieces for today's At Home Fitting Room post! I have a problem called "I love to shop", so I am breaking down my hauls into more manageable categories instead of by brand. Then my problem can help you determine what pieces you like the most. We have a beneficial friendship, yes?
As stated above, today's post includes lingerie, sleepwear, panties, a bra, and activewear leggings from the following brands: Hips and Curves, Torrid, Old Navy, Rainbeau Curves, and Lane Bryant.
Enjoy!

Before we get started, I am 5'9", typically wear a 22/24, wear a 40B bra, and my measurements are 52/49/58.
Torrid Outlander White Sassenach Night Gown
(Available in sizes 0 through 6 (10-30); Regular $48.90, usually on sale for $36.67. I paid $30.)
You already know of my love of Outlander, but this was a piece that sold out before I could get my hands on it initially. I wasn't crazy about the long sleeves and already have a white cotton slip I use as a shift for fun, but then the Sassenach Night Gown came back in stock. I had to have it. I don't use this as sleepwear, if you know what I mean. However, it is really soft, so you could sleep in it comfortably.
I am wearing a 3 (22/24) and have plenty of room! The sleeves are even loose enough for my larger upper arms! The rayon fabric doesn't have stretch, but it is so soft. It is lightweight and moves really well, feeling really nice against the skin. The drawstring neckline allows you to adjust it to your preference. For Sexy Time, I like to loosen it a little so it is almost falling off my shoulder. The cuffs have elastic, sewn on ties in the same fabric so you can tie a bow, and are trimmed with lace. I am not a fan of long sleeves, so I push them up to my elbow. The elastic is still comfortable and not too crazy tight. As you can see, the hemline ends right above my knee. It is definitely a little longer than I thought it would be, but that is totally okay. It actually comes with a polyester slip a little shorter than the gown for you to wear underneath for some modesty I suppose. The straps were sewn onto the gown with little loops. I cut it out right away and haven't worn it at all.
I'm really happy this was brought back in stock and very happy with my purchase!
Old Navy Semi-Fitted Plus-Size Henley
(No longer available; Was $29.99. I bought Winter Wine for $15 and Creme De La Creme for $10)
I initially bought the wine-colored henley as a long-sleeved option to wear with my vests. I am wearing a 3X in both colors. The semi-fitted nature of the top means that it does cling to my tummy rolls more than I would like. With the right bra and the top unbuttoned, I have a little more room. This could still look okay with a vest, methinks. For now though, I use it as a cute lingerie top or wear it around the house. I love the deep V that is created by unbuttoning the henley. The knit fabric is really soft and comfortable. This seems extremely well made for an Old Navy find. I am bummed they sold out because I would definitely try a size up. Hopefully, they will carry this style again, although I would love a relaxed fit option that gives more tummy and hip room.
Hips and Curves Oversized Wide Neck Raglan Sleepshirt
(Available in sizes Large to 6X (12-30) for $39.95 in colors Heather Grey, Jade, and Midnight Blue (pictured); I bought it for $20)
Hips and Curves always gets me with their Ooh-La-La Tuesday deals! If you don't know, they offer a special deal on one item every Tuesday. You can sign up for the email on their site, or follow them on Facebook. A lot of the deals offer 50% off savings, so it is an excellent time to buy.
This piece is in a 4X. I typically wear a 3X or 4X from them, though their bralettes I wear in a 2X because I have a smaller bust. This isn't quite as oversized and off-the-shoulder as I pictured it to be. The length is a little longer than the other sleepshirt below. However, the color is a gorgeous purple/blue that I adore; and the rayon spandex fabric is so soft and stretchy and comfortable. You could wear this as a regular top out in the world and no one would be the wiser. If I buy another color, I might size up one for more of that sultry off-the-shoulder action.
Hips and Curves Oversized Long Sleeve Henley Sleepshirt
(Available in sizes Large to 6X (12-30) for $39.95 in colors Heather Grey, Jade (pictured), and Midnight Blue; I bought it for $20)
Hips and Curves knit pieces are so wonderfully soft and comfy! This one is no exception. It comes in the same ribbed rayon spandex fabric as the above sleepshirt. The hem is a little shorter, but the fit is overall the same. I am wearing this henley in a 3X. It fits fine for my needs, but I would order a 4X next time so that I can have a little more room in the body of the top. It does feature buttons at the neckline and does button up. I just choose to unbutton them all for my preference. The sleeves go past my wrist, where the long cuff has a thumb hole you can use. I usually just push the cuff up my wrist a little. It works either way. Again, could totally work as an every day shirt as well.
Hips and Curves Strappy X-Back Tee
(Available in sizes Large to 6X (12-30) for $32.95 in colors Black, Jade (pictured), and Navy; I bought it for $10.)
Because I love all my Hips and Curves pieces so much, I decided to pick up this top from their "Apparel" section during a recent sale. I am wearing the Jade tee in a 4X. I love, love, love the way this tee fits. The body is more a-line and skims over my tummy. It fits my bust so well, but still accommodates my hips. The rayon spandex knit is so soft, comfy, and smooth. It is lightweight and would make a great summer t-shirt. While the sleeves are a little shorter than I would like, it is really a non-issue. The hem hits me just at the top of the thighs. I have also tried wearing it backwards, which works fine, but I prefer it this way the best. I want this tee in all colors ASAP!
Hips and Curves Soft & Comfy Tank Dress with Lace Back
(Available in sizes Large to 6X (12-30) for $39.95 in Black, Cerise (pictured), Grey, and Plum; I bought it for $20. Right now, it is $19.95 during the Valentine's Sale!)
I am wearing the Cerise color in a 4X. As always, the knit (nylon/spandex) is so soft, lightweight, and comfortable. The hem is a little longer than the above sleepshirts. I love the henley-style buttons in front and lace back. This is a really comfortable sleep chemise and great for wearing around the house in the summer. I would happily take one in every color!
Hips and Curves All Lace Mini Dress with Criss Cross Back
(Available in sizes Large to 3X, 5X for $32.95 in White; I bought it for $16. Right now, it is $14.95 during the Valentine's Sale!)
This was a different style for me, but my husband wanted to know what I would look like in it. So I bought it. I am wearing the 4X. It is definitely a bodycon style. I could easily size up by two and still have a similar fit. Still, I ended up liking it a lot more than I thought I would. The lace is super stretchy and keeps you warm if you tend to get cold. It is also reversible, so you can wear the straps in front or back. The only issue for me is that the sleeves are a bit tight in the upper arm. The lace is stretchy and comfortable, I just have to turn the fabric a little so the seams fit correctly when I put it on.
Hips and Curves Satin Chemise with Lace Trim and Robe Set
(Available in sizes Large to 6X (12-30) for $44.95 in colors Black, Grape, Orchid, Plum (pictured), Red, and Ruby Red; I bought it for $22.)
I love robe sets like this. I decided to pick this one up during an Ooh-La-La Tuesday deal because I loved the color. It is definitely more purple than the raspberry website photo. I am wearing a 4X and find it fits pretty much how I thought it would. The busts are bigger in a 4X for me, but I love the room in the tummy and hips. The fabric is more a satin-like polyester than a slinky satin fabric. That is really my only complaint with this set. It is still pretty and comfortable to wear.
Hips and Curves Stretch Velvet Cropped Blouse
(No longer available; Regular $59.95, I bought it for $10.)
A couple Valentine's Days ago, Sean bought me the white cotton version of this top. I like it a lot and really love the off-the-shoulder look. So when this red velvet number came up on sale, I had to get it. I am wearing a 4X and really love the fit. I have enough room everywhere as needed. I am curious about what the 5X would have fit like because I do wish this was just a little longer. It likes to sit right above my upper tummy roll because of the elastic band, but I think it looks best pulled down a smidge. It is super comfortable though and makes me feel very sexy.
Lane Bryant Embroidered Mesh Cheeky Panty
(No longer available; Similar heart embroidered panty available; Regular $18.50, I bought them for $11.)
I am wearing a size 22/24 and find they fit true to size. I am been trying a few different Lane Bryant styles of panties and really like them. I feel they have made the hipster style a bit bigger so it covers more of my lower tummy roll. They don't end up rolling down now. The embroidery is really pretty. The criss-cross in the back is a flirty touch. These are definitely a comfortable panty to wear.
Lane Bryant Cheeky Panty with Lace Trim
(Available in sizes 14/16 through 26/28 in Luscious Garden and Venetian Red (pictured) for $14.50, or Buy 3 for $33; I bought them for $8.)
I bought both colors in a size 22/24. Again, they fit true to size. LB has made their hipsters with more room in the tummy. I could never wear the hipster style before because they would just roll down my tummy roll, but now they stay in place. The fabric is a really soft nylon/spandex that is stretchy and easy to wear. I was so happy to see another ruched butt style because they got rid of my favorite cotton ruched style (WHICH IS BACK!!!). The lace in front is really beautiful and I love the vibrant red hue. Definitely a style I hope they keep.
Torrid Microfiber 360 Back Smoothing Push-Up Plunge Bra
(Available in sizes 36C to 44G - I wear a 40B - in black and nude for the plunge style, and black and white for the T-shirt bra; Regular $48.90, I paid $24.17.)
When my friend Kelly told me about the new Back Smoothing bra that Torrid started carrying, I was intrigued and excited. Most back smoothing styles are carried in much larger cup sizes. So color me happy when I saw they had a 40B!! I ended up buying it and wore it for the first time this past weekend.
The nylon spandex fabric is super stretchy, smooth, and lightweight. It doesn't feel hot or stifling and is soft against the skin. The cups fit well and have some light padding. The plunge-style bra really gave me nice support and lift. I like that it gives my boobs a boost and really lifts them up. My friend didn't like this about the plunge style.
The band is really what sold me. It is up to 2 inches wider than the regular plunge bra, with larger panels from the band to the strap in the back. A larger band in a small cup size is all I have ever wanted in a bra! There isn't all the boning and seams in this, so it is incredibly comfortable. Like, I wasn't counting down the hours until I could get home and take it off. While the regular bras are comfortable for a while, by the end of the day they are digging into me and I can't wait for freedom. I loved this one so much, I also bought the black t-shirt bra and nude plunge bra.
Lane Bryant Smoother Fishnet Full Brief Panty
(Available in sizes 14/16 through 26/28 in black and navy for $14.50 or Buy 3 for $33; I bought them for $8.)
These are also in a 22/24. I like the coverage and support of a full brief style. These are made with a stretchy nylon spandex fabric that smooths a bit and probably shoes minimal pantylines. I really like the fishnet panels. They are simple but have an edge to them that is unlike other panties in my wardrobe. They are extremely comfortable as well.
Old Navy High-Rise Plus-Size Mesh-Trim Leggings
(Available in sizes 1X through 4X in Winter Wine, Black, and Embossed Black for $38 - $43; I bought them for $22.40)
I've loved my Old Navy compression leggings, so I decided to try something new in these mesh insert leggings. I'm wearing a size 3X in the Winter Wine color. These are not compression leggings. The material is stretchy but thinner than the compression material. The mesh leggings are oddly baggy around the ankle. They aren't horrible. I could wear them taking the dogs for a walk, hanging around the house, or maybe under a dress, but they aren't my favorite for working out.
Rainbeau Curves Curve Basix Compression Legging
(Still available in sizes 14/16 through 30/32 for $29.95; I paid $20.97)
I bought these Rainbeau Curves Compression Leggings during a recent sale. I am wearing the Charcoal color in a 22/24. This is my first time trying this brand, so I was uncertain about fit because, according to the size chart, I am a solid 26/28. However, I LOVE these. The fit is excellent. Especially compared to the Old Navy leggings above, these are far superior. The construction is much better. The cotton spandex fabric is much softer. They are overall very supportive and comfortable. The V panel across the tummy feels really good and supportive. I would definitely wear these for workouts, walks, hiking, you name it! I look forward to trying more from this brand. And at $30, that is a great price point for leggings that feel like these.
Have you tried any of these items? Where do you like to get your lingerie, sleepwear, activewear, panties, and/or bras? For future At Home Fitting Room posts, would you also like to see shoes? I have various new shoes that I don't get to wear immediately and could show them to you while they are still available.
