My Makeup Stash
I have been meaning to let you peek into my makeup drawers for a while now. Things are nice and organized presently, so I took a few pictures. I'm a total makeup and beauty product junkie! (Especially for lip gloss, which you will see in a minute.) Aside from the main makeup drawers below, I also have a big container of samples from various sources. It's fun to try new things!
This is how I have it all organized. The main products are in the larger drawers, with lip products in the smaller drawers on the left. I generally put my overstock of commonly used products (like moisturizer, primer, foundation, etc.) on top of the large drawers so they are handy when I run out of the particular product. The small baskets on top of the lip drawer are for transporting my products to the bathroom when I get ready.
All of my face products stay in the top drawer. Foundation, concealer, tinted moisturizer, bronzer, primer, highlighters, powders, blushes, etc. are grouped together and easily reachable. My favorites in this drawer: Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Light Primer
, Benefit's The POREfessional
, Revlon PhotoReady Foundation
, MAC Pro-Longwear concealer, and NARS Blush in Orgasm
.
Eyeshadows take over the next drawer. Most palettes can be stored in here, while all the individual shadows are kept as neat as possible. I use my Urban Decay Naked Palette
most often. The Make Up For Ever Star Powder and Bare Minerals eyeshadows are popular as well.
The third drawer houses mascaras (FAIRYDROPS Scandal Queen Mascara
is my fave!), eyeliners, eyelid primers, faux lashes, and loads of glitter and glitter liner. I never, ever put on eye makeup without using my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
. I highly recommend it if you want to stop those pesky creases from ruining your look.
The top lip drawer is mostly for lipsticks, stains, and high end glosses. I've been wearing my Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment
(in Rose) a lot lately. MAC lipstick in Lustering and some of the Smashbox glosses frequently travel in my purse.
The second drawer is mostly cheaper lip balms. I noticed in the pic that some of the Philosphy ones got here by mistake. I rotate the balms I use at bedtime, so I love having all these choices for backups.
And lastly, my makeup brushes are organized in my little marble vase. This allows me to get ready quicker in the morning because they are easily accessible. For more info on this organizational method, see my Brush Holder post.
I'd love to know what products you can't live without! What is your product obsession? Do you have way too many glosses, like me, or do you always get drawn to something else? Let me know!
