Hiya! I've been busy still writing a novel and working on my yard and garden until I was exhausted and burnt out. I have a lot of posts lined up, so I can share a bit about my spring and summer. We've been busy bees!
More recently, our friends discovered a new-to-all-of-us winery, Villa Catalana Cellars. It looked pretty and interesting, so we planned a little visit one hot afternoon!

The winery had a tasting event with tables for various pours of wine set up around the property. Wood-fired pizza was being offered near a beautiful, vine-covered seating area. We all did a round of tasting (my favorite turned out to be the Pinot Gris) and walked around looking at all the gorgeous plants and landscaping. Then we bought a bottle to drink as we chatted and caught up. We spent some more time watching tadpoles and dragonflies, taking selfies, and seeking out a giant metal dragon!
Afterward, we visited an Irish pub for fish and chips and steak pies. It was a delightful afternoon and good to get out of the house!

The lighting was terrible, we were all way too hot, and there weren't a lot of places to set up our phone. lol |

Do be aware that this is the hill you must climb to get to the winery, in full sun. Wear the proper footwear. |
Thanks for hanging out with us at the winery!!
