We had some impromptu fun over the weekend, including eating tasty food at the Greek Fest, visiting a pumpkin patch, stumbling upon a foggy wooded viewpoint, a failed attempt at searching for mushrooms, and a sunny view of the Columbia River!
Thought I'd pop in with a shorty post to share!

FRIDAY
On Friday, we hit up the Portland Greek Festival early to avoid the big crowds and to ensure we got our hands on some loukoumades! They sell out every time. |
After a rather annoying and unproductive visit to the Columbia Store, we made our way to Oregon Heritage Farms for all things apples and apple cider! |
Then we drove through the countryside and up to Bald Peak State Scenic Viewpoint. We found this misty, magical wooded area with a little walking trail and I couldn't wait to frolic! |

SUNDAY
On Sunday we headed to Beacon Rock State Park to look for mushrooms. We found so many there last year... |
Benton Springs Vest - Columbia / Ahsoka Tano Tee - Her Universe / LIVI Active Joggers - Lane Bryant Fresh Foam 1350 Walking Shoe - New Balance / Long Beach, WA souvenir hat / Zigzag II Side Bag - Columbia |
We met many forest friends along the way, including a fast fuzzy caterpillar, a bright red dragonfly, some annoying little bugs that liked these purple flowers, and a clicky-clacky grasshopper! |
I think termite lines look really cool. |
The only mushie we found |
I took a black bag like this to NYC and it came in handy, so I bought a gold one for my purse. Once I was too warm, it held vests, scarves, and jackets. |
Spot the crane |
We only found one wee mushroom on our mushroom hike this time,
so I think we were just too early. We'll try again in a few weeks!
