If you follow me on
Instagram, you know I call my backyard 'the Community Center'. It started as a little birdbath and has branched out to the whole yard, with multiple bird and pollinator baths, multiple seed stations, various peanut treasure troves, and lots more weeds, logs, herbs, and leaves to munch on and dig through.
At
the start of spring, we were seeing so many different kinds of birds hanging out and stopping by. It always fascinates me how animals also live in specific cycles, and seeing examples of that in my backyard has helped me better honor the cycles of my own body. As we moved closer to summer, a lot of the smaller birds have moved on. We now have a family of crows that stop by daily for food and drinks.
Enjoy a look at our springtime visitors!
