I find packing immensely hard, which is why I have multiple lists and start way in advance. I want to have options and portray all the versions of myself, and that isn't always manageable when traveling.
So I pick a color scheme with a couple of neutrals and two or three colors that work well together. I build my travel wardrobe with that idea in mind, which usually helps in keeping things from getting too out of control.
For this trip, these clothes became my new wardrobe as my body changes and the clothes I have don't fit my body well anymore. It was stressful but exciting. I felt cute so I am happy to share my outfits with you!

Before we get started, I am 5'9", typically wear a 18/20, wear a 40B bra, a size 11 wide shoe, and my measurements are 46/49/55.
I decided to start with comfortable shoes first and foremost. Nothing good happens when your feet hurt.
I spent the better part of a year testing various sneaker brands and levels of support. While the New Balance Fresh Foams were much more comfortable than Reebok, Ryka, Dansko, BZees, etc., the Brooks Ghost Max and Hoka were the most cushioned and comfortable. I couldn't find Hokas in my size (11 Wide) in a neutral color, so I went with a light grey Brooks. They have become my most comfy sneakers and I've since bought a black and white pair of the equally cushioned Glycerin style that I found on sale.
I was absolutely thrilled to have such a matchy-matchy wardrobe and travel set. I spent months searching for the right pieces and really lucked out. I can't find the Columbia vest in the Black Cherry color anymore, but I really want another in a different size. It just goes with so much!

A few wardrobe shout-outs to my favorite pieces:
- I absolutely needed that scarf and hat, but I didn't really need the gloves I brought.
- The LIVI Recycled Tunic is so soft and great for travel days.
- I had a lot of luck finding hoodies in colors and styles I prefer on Poshmark.
- The black blazer I found at Torrid is a fleece sweatshirt material, so cozy and easy to wear. Plus, the grey hoodie layer is actually insets that button in, so you can remove them and just have a blazer to work with. It was versatile and warm. I wore it for the majority of the trip.
- The grey Universal Standard jeans and Levi's 311s were my absolute favorites of the trip.
- I'm glad I chose a windbreaker in a bright color. I felt more like myself than if I just went with black like everyone else.
- I got lots of compliments from total strangers on that sequin top I wore to the concert!
- I spent a lot of time thinking about how to dress for the city and NYC, but I just want to remind you to be yourself. I didn't need to be fancy (and I'm glad I based my wardrobe around sneakers). Everybody was dressed pretty "normal", so I had nothing to worry about as a casual dresser.
