I've been focusing much of my time this year on establishing better habits that make me feel more balanced.  Taking care of my mental health has been a priority, but I've also spent a lot of time letting go of things (and people) that no longer align with my life, reorganizing my home, and playing catch up to all the fun things I want to share (which I am obviously still doing slowly lol). 

This has left little time for going places or thinking too much about what I'm wearing more regularly.  I've gone on many walks this year and gotten more use out of my cute workout gear.  This has also given me opportunities to start testing out my comfortable walking shoes to see which ones are the most comfortable and which ones I should wear for my city trip next year.  As my body changes, it takes more planning and patience when choosing what to wear out of the house, but the intentionality in that has been exciting.

Things are in flux, but I thought it would be fun to show you what I have been wearing for my walks and events that require me to be cute in public. 😉

Mostly I've been using my phone to take quick outfit photos in the mirror on my way out of the house, or outside somewhere if the weather is nice.  I also haven't been buying too many new items lately.  While sometimes I think this makes me seem irrelevant in a capitalist-driven blogging world, I believe that shopping your closet, thrifting, and working on your shopping habits are very relevant, worthwhile practices.  We are all getting dressed with a different set of tools and different ideas about how to use those tools.  I hope that continuing to share what I wear helps you in a variety of ways!

I was very excited to work this more costume-like dress into an everyday outfit.  I also own the teal version, which you have seen in my Autumn Witch and RCCC posts!  I'm wearing a 4X, though I could size down to a 3X now.  I think the waist area of Holy Clothing stuff tends to run a little smaller, while the bust runs larger.  The shoulder straps on the 4X are a little wide now.  They tend to fall off my shoulder if I don't have them pinned.  This is really the only reason I need to size down.  Otherwise, the lacing helps to personalize the fit.

I absolutely love this style of overdress and loved feeling like a sexy Hobbit for a bookshop opening!

For Friendsgiving, I went outside my comfort zone with this fitted sweater.  It looks better to me with the jacket  (because I love the color and texture).  I felt a bit self-conscious trying something new and I don't like how the sweater clings to my tummy roll.  I tried it. I like the idea of it.  But I need a different style of top.
