I'm back!  I know I've been gone for a while, some of that for my epic vacation adventure, and I will touch on more in an upcoming post.  For now, I am back with a new outfit post to celebrate Kiyonna's 23rd anniversary!

When I saw the gorgeous "Peacock Print" of the Vienna Maxi Dress, I couldn't take my eyes off of it; and I had just the summer party to wear it to!

First things first, this print! The Vienna Maxi Dress comes in a solid muted green in Matcha Green Tea, a bright Cherry Blossom Print, and this Peacock Print.  The color combo of burgundy, peach, turquoise, teal, gold, black, and cream feels really different and fresh in plus size.  Something about this print just called to me.  The fabric itself is a super soft, stretchy knit that is incredibly comfortable to wear.  I may look well-put together, but I felt like I was in comfy pajamas.  That is always a plus in my book.  I'm wearing the 3X and find it fits true to size.  I do have a much smaller bust (B cup), and have plenty of fabric to create a modest neckline.

I adore maxis and have a ton of them, but the more A-line skirt and side slits to just-above-the-knee are features that are different than other items I own.  The dolman sleeves are not super fitted nor clingy and can almost resemble a flutter sleeve.  While there is a deep-V neckline, it does overlap a bit in front to create a more modest V-neck.  And, of course, I adore a goddess-like empire waist and find this silhouette to be good for my body shape. I'd add, I am 5'9" and found the length to go right to the top of my feet.


Obviously, a super comfy, knit maxi dress in an eye-catching print is going to be perfect for summer days and nights, but the colors of this dress, with ease of wear and layering, make it a great transition piece into fall.  It was a chillier evening here, so I added a jean jacket to the look.  This dress would work just as well with warm leggings and boots underneath and a cropped jacket and burgundy scarf for chilly fall days.  I also want to try it with a cropped vest and sneakers.

Metallic accessories and a turquoise necklace to bring out the same hue in the dress round out my ensemble!
