The weather is finally starting to turn sunny (but as I type this it is cold and rainy, of course).  My allergies have been insane, making me feel completely miserable and unproductive.  I finally started to feel like myself again, so I joined Sean and our friends, Nigel and Joaquin, for an outing to our favorite winery.

It's always fun to visit Stoller, taste wine, and eat yummy food.  I decided to take advantage of the pretty location for today's outfit photos.  I'm reviewing Kiyonna's Harmony Faux Wrap Dress, which turns out to be an extremely versatile piece.





I'm wearing the Harmony Faux Wrap Dress in a 3X, and find it fits true to size.  The V-neck isn't too low (although I never have a problem with a low cut V), while the three-quarter sleeves fit my larger upper arms comfortably.  The hem hits right below the knees on my 5'9" frame, which I think is the perfect length for me these days.  I still get to show some leg and feel the sun and breeze on my skin, but I don't have to be self-conscious or worry about the hem riding up or flying up.  While this is an A-line cut versus a fuller skirt, I still had plenty of room in the tummy and hips.  It didn't cling or act weird in the slightest.

The navy fabric of the Harmony is a lightweight poly/spandex material with plenty of stretch and an almost spongy texture.  While it may be a little thicker for super hot summer days, I find that this fabric lends a great structure to the dress and eliminates the need for shapewear.  The bottom portion of the dress is also lined.  I love the use of the white and red stripes, with diagonal panels on the front sides, complete with large pockets!  It was great having these easy-to-reach pockets.  And since the tie is more decorative, you can play around with it and tie it any way you like.


I accessorized with red sandals and silver jewelry for our springy winery outing, but the versatility of this dress is phenomenal.  It is conservative enough for an office environment.  It can be paired with heels for a dressier look.  You can wear it with sneakers for a sporty event or casual weekend ensemble.  Simply changing your accessories can change the whole feel of the dress, which I think is fabulous.  And since it didn't need to be ironed right out of the package, this would also be a great piece for versatile travel outfits.

And you know I have to give y'all a look at our fun!  When I do my photoshoots, I always wish I had assistants.  Nigel and Joaquin were definitely more entertaining and distracting than helpful, but they kept me smiling and laughing (until my cheeks hurt) and kept me in good spirits.  Nigel took photos of Joaquin while Sean was taking photos of me.  Then the two of them jumped in and out of the photos, climbed around on the trees, took photos of me with their phones, and kept making scandalous comments full of innuendo as if they were watching the runway of RuPaul's Drag Race. It was hysterical and I wish you all could have been there.  I love these guys so much!!
