In part two of the latest round of At Home Fitting Room, I am bringing you some more spring purchases.  I'm trying to get these out as soon as I can while items are still available.  The weather is supposed to start heating up this weekend and, with a busier life schedule, I hope to be able to wear more pieces out and photograph my styling of them for you.  In the previous fitting room post I went over some new-to-me brands, but today's post is all about go-to brands for me - Kiyonna, Lane Bryant, Torrid, and Hips and Curves.  Enjoy!

- All items were purchased by me. All opinions presented are my own and without influence. This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links. -

Before we get started, I am 5'9", wear a size 22/24 or 3X typically, and my measurements are 52/49/58.  I wear a 40B bra.

Kiyonna Promenade Top in Orchid Bloom
(Orchid Bloom available in sizes 1x through 5x;  Black available in sizes 0x through 5x;  Indigo Tie Dye available in 2x;  Mahogany available in sizes 1x through 5x)
I am crazy about the Promenade Top because it is made of a soft, stretchy knit fabric that is so comfy to wear.  Whenever I travel I take one with me, specifically my striped one because all the colors means it goes with a ton of stuff.  It is lightweight with some arm coverage, looks cute with a cami peeking out underneath, and can be dressed up a little as well.  I am wearing a 3X and find it fits true to size.  I recently featured the tie dye version on the blog and then they released this gorgeous orchid color that I decided I couldn't live without.  You can get full reviews in the following previous posts: coral, striped, tie dye.
Originally $64.00, I bought this top for $44.80.

Kiyonna Kelsey Flounce Top in Black Noir
(Sangria available in sizes 1x through 4x;  Black available in sizes 1x through 5x)
Another Kiyonna top I reviewed and loved so much I bought another - the Kelsey.  I'm wearing a 3X.  I love the tie-front option so much and find it pairs beautifully with so many skirts.  I don't have a lot of black tops, so this is a welcome addition to my wardrobe.  I will be wearing this look with the plaid skirt to a comedy show this weekend, so I plan on taking extra outfit photos.  I love not having to tuck a top into the skirt to achieve the look I want (though because this is a tunic length top untied, I do have to tuck and blouse the back of the top).  You can read a full review of the top here.
Originally $58, I bought this top for $40.60.

I love Lane Bryant's Livi Active stuff, especially the hoodies.  I've always been a hoodie girl, but was looking for some more short sleeve and workout ready pieces.  These tops are lightweight knit and very comfortable.  I love the longer short sleeves and zip-front for a more open neckline.  I bought the 22/24 and find them to be a little more fitted in the tummy and hips.  I can stretch them out just a bit to accommodate this for my personal taste.  I know sizing up would be too big in the bust for me.  One of the frustrating things about the Livi Active line is the inconsistency in sizing.  I own Livi Active pieces from 18/20 to 26/28 because the sizing can be all over the place.  While most of those were things I bought on clearance in store where I was able to try them on, it makes buying the pieces online a little trickier.  But they do have some cute, casual styles so I keep going back.
Originally $49.95, I bought this tank for $31.22.

Lane Bryant Roll Cuff Denim Bermuda Short by Melissa McCarthy Seven7
(Still available in sizes 14 through 28)
I am crazy about my LB Genius Fit Bermuda shorts!  I bought them a few years ago as my first shorts since middle school and have basically lived in them the last few summers.  One day they will need to be totally replaced, but I wanted another dark wash pair to put in rotation.  During a big sale, I decided to try these Melissa McCarthy Bermudas.  They are very comfortable and fit very much like my trusty faves.  The MM shorts are longer than pictured on the website, so they are more of a true Bermuda short length. I bought the 24 and find they fit true to size.  They are a closer fit then the MM boyfriend capris I featured on the blog not long ago.  I can't speak to whether they stretch out a lot or not because it is still too cold for shorts here.  Keep an eye on the blog for summertime looks a bit later.
Originally $69, I bought it for $41.40.

Lane Bryant Spa Active Jogger Capri
(Available in Navy, Black, and Grey in sizes 14/16 through 26/28)
We've had the occasional day of lovely weather when we've been able to take the boys for walks at the park.  I've worn activewear leggings for our walks, but wanted something looser fitting also.  I am a firm believer that leggings are not pants, and I don't own that many long tunic tops to cover my legging-clad self for my own personal preference.  So I bought these jogger capris in grey and black so I can wear regular length t-shirts with them.  I've worn them out on a walk and really like them.  They don't ride up or get caught in between my thighs.  I bought the 22/24 and find they fit pretty well.  They are roomy just enough that they don't cling to me, but they don't look sloppy or disheveled.  And boy are they comfy!   The knit is super soft and comfortable, moving with your body well.  They aren't thick, but aren't thin enough to expose every dimple or panty line you may have to offer.  I really like them!
Originally $44.95, I bought these for $33.71.

Torrid Bird Print Cold Shoulder Top
(Available in sizes 00 through 6, or 10 through 30 for those of you new to Torrid's sizing)
I've been pretty obsessed with my pink cold shoulder top from Torrid since taking it on vacation.  This one is a similar style with cute little birds on it, so I decided to purchase it.  I have learned that wearing shoulder-exposing tops like this makes me feel sexy, but also gives me some arm coverage.  I can be cool and sort of covered at the same time.  The fit through the tummy is a little more fitted than my pink top, but it isn't bad or a deal breaker.  I am wearing this top in a size 3.  The material is lightweight but not see through, though it doesn't stretch as much as a straight up knit top does. The fabric of this top is a poly/rayon.
Originally $38.90, I purchased this top for $18.90.

Torrid Bird Print Crochet Trim Swing Cami
(Available in sizes 00 through 6, or 10 through 30)
Another top I took on vacation was a grey embroidered number in this swing tank style, also from Torrid.  I loved it so much and am happy to see Torrid has multiple prints of this style of top.  The swing silhouette provides some room and tummy coverage, plus it has a v-neckline, which I love!  The adjustable straps have a delicate crochet look, but have held up well.  I also appreciate that the length isn't crazy long.  It hits me about mid-hip in the size 3.  The fabric is a slinky rayon/spandex, so it is comfortable, lightweight, and cool.
Originally $34.90, I purchased this top for $18.23.

Torrid Fox Empire Collection Colorblock Swing Dress
(Still available in sizes 00 and 0, or 10 and 12)
I loved this dress when Torrid initially launched its Empire collection.  The contrasting colors and piping are very graphic and well-placed.  But I didn't need a new dress, so I didn't buy it.  Months later it was on crazy good clearance, which I took as a sign that I should get it.  I am wearing a 3 and find it fits pretty true  to size.  It is just a smidge fitted in the tummy, but it isn't a huge issue or anything that requires shapewear.  The material is a thicker fabric that reminds me of ponte knit, though it isn't stretchy.  It does have stretch to it though and is very comfortable to wear.
The original price is around $60 or $70, but I bought it for $24.98.

Torrid Multi Print Pull On Flounce Mini Skirt
(Available in 00, 0, 1, 4, and 6, or 10, 12, 14/16, 26, and 30)
I had to return some distressed Bermuda shorts back to Torrid (they fit my butt and thighs but the waist was a good 5 inches too big).  While there, I browsed the store and the clearance section because I very rarely have time to shop in store these days.  I found this skirt in a size 2 and decided to try it on.  It has a cute tassel drawstring and pockets.  The rayon material is lightweight and great for summer.  Though this skirt is shorter than I normally wear, I thought it would be cute with lace-trimmed legging shorts underneath.  The wide elastic band keeps the skirt in place well.  While my normal size 3 might have been a tad longer, I think this one is really cute and I like the fit a lot.
Originally $44.90, I bought this skirt for $23.97.

Torrid Outlander Fraser Tartan Plaid Skirt
(Available in sizes 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 22, 24, and 28)
Y'all know I love me some Outlander.  I snatched up a few pieces when the collection originally went on sale back in the fall.  I was super excited when they restocked the kilt!  Sean demanded I get it, so why would I say no to that?  I bought the 24 and find it fits pretty well.  The waistband is a little tight, but it doesn't accentuate my tummy rolls at all.  There is zero stretch in this material, so don't rely on that.  Another reason I passed on the kilt the first time around is that I thought it looked way too short for me.  However, upon getting it on my body, it is actually a really cute knee length.  It doesn't feel precariously short at all.  I'm hoping to wear this to the Highland Games this summer.  The buckles on the front of the skirt also have a pretty Celtic design.  I really like all the little details Torrid added into this collection.  I still think they did a great job with it.
Originally $54.90, I bought the skirt for $38.23.

Torrid Strappy Fishnet and Lace Push Up Plunge Bra
(Available in multiple colors in sizes 38B to 48DDD)
All the strappies are so in and very sexy, so I bought this strappy bra for my collection.  I have completely converted to 100% Torrid bras, y'all.  I wear a 40B, but I do find that various styles fit a bit differently.  The microfiber and lace ones seem to have the most spot on fit, but the plaid version was pretty small in the band, or just not as well-made.  The racerback bra is a little tighter in the band.  This strappy style is a little bigger in the cups.  It doesn't look the best with thinner knit or t-shirts, but I mainly wear it when I want the straps to be exposed.
The bra retails for $48.90. I purchased mine for $15.60.

Torrid Tie Dye Open Front Cardigan
(Available in sizes 00 through 6, or 10 through 30)
My friend Kelly suggested I needed to own this tie dye cardi, and I'm glad she did!  I thought it was cute when I saw it on the website, but I was prepared to pass it by.  I do love a great overpiece and this rayon/spandex number is lightweight and cool and slinky and perfect for summer!  The dolman sleeves are a little longer than I thought and not super baggy, which I love.  The cardi hangs well and has a slight high-low hem.  I am wearing a size 3 and find it fits true to size.  Now, I am just holding out for temps higher than 55. haha
Originally $42.90, I bought the cardi for $26.23.

I also like to include lingerie and the like for you guys when I can.  The following two items from Hips and Curves are pieces I have been eyeing for a while and picked up during their Ooh-La-La Tuesdays sales, when items are usually 50% off.

Hips and Curves Edwardian Cotton and Lace Chemise
(Available in white in sizes 1x, 2x, 4x, 5x, 6x)
I have been eyeing this chemise for a long time.  The rewards program at Hips and Curves offered it for a certain amount of points that I was working up to, and 6 points from, when they changed their rewards program!!  Thankfully, it was a featured piece for an Ooh-La-La Tuesday sale, so I grabbed it!  They also have a camisole, bloomers, and bell sleeve dress in this Edwardian collection.  I bought a 3X and find it fits slightly large.  I think the tummy and hips fit great, but the bust is quite big.  Part of me feels this is how it is supposed to fit to give the option of wearing it off the shoulder like the cover of a romance novel, or pulling the drawstring and tying the ribbon to give it more of a shape.  Either way it is cute and sexy and perfect for some Outlander role playing.
Originally $49.95, I paid $24.95 during the Ooh-La-La Tuesday special.

Hips and Curves Soft and Comfy Babydoll in Plum
(Available in Charcoal, Black, Grey, Pink, Plum, Red, and White in sizes 1x through 6x)
The Soft and Comfy pieces are so soft and comfy and cozy and awesome!  I own two pairs of pajama pants, two pairs of pajama shorts, and about 16 of the camis from the Soft and Comfy collection.  The slinky rayon/spandex fabric is my favorite!  I bought a 3X in the plum babydoll so it would fit my bust better but still have room for my hips.  It is a little more fitted in the body, but fits my bust really well.  And it is crazy comfy!  I definitely want more of these!
Originally $49.95, I paid $24.95 during the Ooh-La-La Tuesday special.
