I know it has been pretty hot in other parts of the country lately, so I am not going to assume you are all in the fall mood. However, it has been chilly enough here to require longer sleeves and light layers, which I am thrilled about! I love pulling out my fall wardrobe of jeans, boots, and cozy sweaters.
In today's post, I am celebrating fall vibes and reviewing this layering staple from Kiyonna (sizes 10-32)! The Love Story Cardigan is my October review pick and is a perfect solution for lightweight layering on these somewhat chilly days. If you love the bellinis (knit & lace), you will definitely approve of this latest cardigan style.

I chose the Love Story Cardigan in Olive. I am wearing a 3X and find it fits true to size. The poly/spandex material is stretchy, but it is also soft and cozy to wear. It did not feel itchy to me at all. The material is like a lightweight sweater, with three-quarter sleeves that provide great coverage. I have very large upper arms and found the sleeves to be very comfortable. A layering option like this allows me to be warm outside but not too warm inside, with the added bonus that I can take it off if need be. You know folks and stores alike hike up their thermostats this time of year!
The cardigan features a slightly gathered neckline that flows into a waterfall hem with a wide ruffle from front to back. It has a nice movement to it as you walk. The ruffled hem doesn't look quite as wide on me as it does on the model, but that could totally be a proportion thing. It still hits right below my butt, as shown on the website. I think the ruffle looks really cute and adds a little something flirty to the garment. The heathered olive shade can look dark grey in certain lighting situations. I think this makes it a really versatile neutral that can go with lots of colors. Obviously, you can wear this cardigan open, but it does have ties to keep it closed if you so desire.
I'm really pleased with the Love Story Cardigan and grateful that I get to add it to my fall and winter (and spring too!) wardrobe. I have loved styling items different ways for all of you, so I thought I would continue that with this piece. Most of my readers are more casual dressers and this piece is perfect for throwing on to run errands or going out for dinner. I also think it will travel well. I did not have to iron it at all. My first look screams fall to me with skinny jeans and boots. I am living in these jeans lately. You know I love color, so I added a purple sleeveless top. The dark grey flowers in the top mimic the dark grey veins in the cardigan. It would be easy to throw on a scarf with this look when the weather turns cooler.
My second look keeps the jeans and cardigan, but replaces the purple floral top with a knit and sequin tank. Boots are discarded for slip-on flats. This is a great look for running errands, going shopping, hanging our with friends, and all those other low-key events. I love that the cardigan just finishes off the look so nicely to keep me cute and comfy, but allows me to look pulled together at the same time.
