I recently posted an outfit featuring the Sunset Stroll Bellini, which I love, and now Kiyonna offers one in a lovely shade of pink. During the month of October, 100% of the proceeds from the pink bellini will go to an accredited breast cancer foundation of their choice.
Another way you can help is to post a picture of something pink that represents fashion and/or breast cancer via Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter with the hashtags #ShowYourPink and #KiyonnaGives. $1.00 for each of these photos will also be donated.
Because of my recent blue bellini post, I thought it would be fun to style the pink version in several different ways. It is really fun for me to shop my closet and show you different looks for one item. Maybe I should do it more often!
First up is the pink bellini paired with a plum-colored maxi dress. I am pretty sure Liz's (from With Wonder and Whimsy) gorgeous signature color palette of ladylike, feminine hues inspired this one. The pairing of colors is so lovely. I kept the accessories simple with a multi-strand necklace that has dark blue and plum in it.

Next up is my typical uniform of fall - jeans and boots. As with the blue bellini, I layered a tank underneath. However, this tank has loads of sequins that I wanted to show through. The gathering and collar of the bellini is such that you can customize it to your look by moving the fabric around a bit.

And finally, I tied the bellini and pulled the ends up to tie around my waist. It is the coverage of a shrug with the option of a longer cardigan in one. Over this full-skirted dress, it accentuates the smallest part of me and adds another touch of color. I finished the look with a sparkly silver and purple necklace and glittery flats.
PS - I didn't notice until uploading the photos that I paired this bellini with varying shades of purple. It does go with other colors too, but I guess I was in a pink and purple mood. lol

Such a great piece, and you really showcased its versatility. I can definitely see how those first and third looks are my style. That last one with it tied over the light purple dress looks like something I'd totally wear. I think my favorite is the bellini over the maroon dress, though. It makes the pink look so appropriate for fall. I really love it! It's not a combination I would have tried, either the bellini over the maxi or the pink with the maroon.
ReplyDeleteAs a side note, what a great initiative from Kiyonna. You know I'll be wearing pink this October (and always). I'll be sure to tag my IG photos for the donation.

Thank you! Definitely use the hashtags with any of your pink stuff!
ReplyDeleteI think the maxi look is my favorite too because I am kind of obsessed with that plum color. I don't get to wear that dress too often, so it was great to be able to pull it out. I think that look was a more conscious inspiration from you because I saw the plum dress in my closet and instantly thought about stuff like your flower belt and some of the floral skirts you have, etc. The full skirted purple dress was more subconscious. I definitely noticed your inspiration in that one once I looked at the photos. :-) It is nice to utilize the cardigan in various ways. :-)
