What I Wore: As "Bad Ass" As I Get
Friday, June 13, 2014
I've never been an edgy kind of girl. I am way more comfortable in softer, feminine looks than hard, fierce kind of ensembles. When I put this outfit together though, I felt pretty bad ass.
This bodycon dress is made in a stretchy knit that is comfortable and soft. I love the colors in the tribal print pattern. I received it in a US 22 and thought it fit rather well. However, I am not really comfortable with a dress that clings to my larger tummy roll, so it was almost a "What I Didn't Wear" post.
In the same shipment from Gwynnie Bee was this vest, also something totally different for me that I wouldn't normally wear. I haven't tried many things from MYNT 1792 yet, so I was super happy to give it a go. It was great camouflage for my tummy without having to stuff myself into shapewear. The vest came in a 3X and wasn't going to zip over my hips. After adding the belt and cinching the vest in, I was pretty happy with the final look. The booties added a little more sass and a more casually sexy vibe to the ensemble, which made me feel particularly saucy! In retrospect, I just needed a bold lip color to complete the look.

This is as "bad ass" as I get, and I kind of like it.
