Sometimes people ask me what kind of makeup I use.  Truth is, I use all kinds and some things I only use on certain occasions.  I was getting ready to go out to a casual dinner yesterday, so I thought I would take a picture and write down what I used.  This is a daytime look/basic look for me because I was trying to hurry up and get ready.


What I'm Wearing:
After cleaning and moisturizing my skin, I applied Smashbox Photo Finish Light Primer.  I love this stuff.  I used to use Philosophy The Present but it was thicker and not helpful to my oily skin.  Next, I applied BareMinerals Foundation with SPF 15 in Medium Beige all over my face.  I followed that with MAC Select Cover-Up in NW20 to conceal the things that need concealing! lol  For my brows, I use BareMinerals Brow Color in Brunette and the BareMinerals Brow Finishing Gel.  Lorac Loose Face Powder in P4 goes over everything to keep it on.

For the eyes:
I prime with Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original. Once that dries, I apply Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eye Colour in Platinum all over the lid and up to the brow.  I use MAC Eyeshadow in Blanc Type to highlight the brow and line the upper lash line with MAC Techakohl Liner in Graphblack. 
I wanted to line my eyes a little bit more last night so I lined the lid close to the lash line with Lorac Front of the Line Waterproof Liquid Liner in Black.  Once I got through smudging and blending to soften the line, it didn't look like I did that much. lol I didn't have enough time to go back over it too much.  I reapplied a little bit of the Metallic Eye Cream back over the lid and swept the lid with Urban Decay Loose Pigments in Shag.  Then I curled my lashes and applied a couple coats of MAC Splashproof Lash Mascara in Black.

For the rest of the face:
I highlighted the upper cheekbone area with Smashbox Photo Op Under Eye Brightener and Hard Candy Blush Crush Baked Blush in Honeymoon.  I contoured my cheekbones with Cargo Bronzer in Medium and applied MAC Beauty Powder Blush in True Romantic on the apples of my cheeks.  CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain in Teasing Blush/ 415 went on my lips.  After it dried and set, I used my Cool Effects Mandarin Chapstick.

Then I went out for a tasty dinner of Pumpkin Curry at a local Thai restaurant!
