Catherines shifts usually have a higher neckline, but they utilize mesh and embellishments to liven things up and make them more interesting. I am willing to try new things, just like you. I think I personally have a hard time with the closed neckline and so many shift dresses have this higher neck. I think that necklace you chose really makes this a standout.
