You should definitely hook up with FMM.

Blogging helps me with processing and expressing my feelings and myself better too. The social anxiety thing is just TOO MUCH sometimes. All my friends seem to think I come off just fine and friendly and confident and all that, but inside I feel like the biggest buffoon they have ever seen. It is a lot more difficult in casual social settings for sure. I get really quiet and just kind of stare at the floor because I have no clue how to start a conversation.

In public or professional situations, I try to be more outgoing, but I know I come off as snooty sometimes (or an idiot. I mess up words and stumble through things.) But my husband is also pretty shy and quiet, so in a lot of situations I tend to be the one to step up and act outgoing so we both aren't sitting there being awkward. lol

UGH. I need to read the self-help books I bought.Haileyhttp://www.divinemrsdiva.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7034790958999231788.post-10083079437995078872013-08-30T23:15:34.196-07:002013-08-30T23:15:34.196-07:00Nice! I've been to 9 shows in the last 5 years. :-)Haileyhttp://www.divinemrsdiva.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7034790958999231788.post-16523692112473866532013-08-28T15:49:12.202-07:002013-08-28T15:49:12.202-07:00I'm with you on the social anxiety thing. I come off as confident and self-assured, and I feel like I represent myself well. In casual social settings, I get all flustered and can't speak normally...I start rambling and stumbling over words, and I think to myself "Who is this useless person? OMG! Just stop talking!" And then I come off as too quiet, shy, snooty, whatever. Argh! lol So frustrating!

I think blogging is a good outlet for that, because I can "say" things in a casual, conversational environment and actually take the time to process what I'm thinking and say it in a (semi) coherent way.

Thanks for sharing! It's a reflective set of questions this week. I need to start following All the Weigh and make Friend Makin' Monday part of my blogging routine!

Liz @withwonderandwhimsyLiz @deliberatewhimsynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7034790958999231788.post-41433193994033132152013-08-27T08:41:10.396-07:002013-08-27T08:41:10.396-07:00popping on over from FMM-I LOVED new kids on the b...popping on over from FMM-I LOVED new kids on the block-they were my first concert when I was 7 years old!

http://makingitmyhome.blogspot.com/2013/08/typical-me-and-friend-making-monday-but.htmlsarah @makingitmyhome.blogspotnoreply@blogger.com
